Editor's Notes
Why accreditation – professional growth and recognition
As a professional organization, APMP needs to continue providing new sources of learning and development to help you further your career The topic of certification has been discussed since the first APMP conference in San Diego in 1990 and recurred as a hot topic in 1999-2000 Accreditation pilot program was authorized to run in the UK 15 months ago because it was a controlled environment in which to run the pilot Success of UK pilot and rollout led to subsequent US pilot and rollout
* Foundation Level doesn’t require APMP membership, but exam fee is more and you can’t use designation
the above totals reflect three new records for the number of accreditations issued in a calendar year. · The 438 Foundation Level accreditations exceed the previous best of 411 issued in 2008. · The 17 Professional Level accreditations exceed the previous best of 10 in 2006. · The 467 accreditations (all levels) exceed the previous best of 464 in 2008.
