Angora Wool
  By Lexi Walters
Fiber Characteristics
 Angora Wool is very absorbent
 The fiber is normally blended with wool to give the yarn elasticity, as
Angora fiber does not normally stretch
 Angora is severely under spun, so it looks fuzzy in the ball. This yarn
often lacks tensile strength and pulls apart easily
 You should Hand wash angora wool but it should never be washed in a
washing machine. When washing by hand, only use mild detergent and
    cold water.
Source
Angora wool refers to the downy coat
 produced by the Angora Rabbit.
Manufacturing process
 The processing of spinning twists the fibres, creating a biased
thread. Two or more of these threads are then spun in reverse, to
untwist the fibre, while wrapping the two threads around each
other to create a balanced yarn.
It takes about 10 days to spin 1 kilogram of wool, which must
then still be plied and mothproofed. From harvesting till the wool
is used takes about 2 weeks per kilogram.
Once a garment has been made, depending on the process
used, it will have had its first wash before it goes out. The
simplest way to store your angora item is in a sealed packet in
    the freezer.
As far as cleaning is concerned, unless it has had a foreign
matter spilled on it, an airing in the breeze will normally shake
    any loose dust off it.
Common uses. Cost and Expense

    thermal clothing and for
    people suffering from
    arthritis and wool allergies.
