Survival Activity
In the activity thirteen people are trapped in a bunker due to Avian Flu outbreak that wiped out
the rest of the planets population. Only four people can survive in the bunker for the two years that is
needed to outlive the virus. Choose who to let live and why.
I chose to kill the married couple, the pregnant women with a five year old, the elderly woman, a
disabled person, lazy welfare dependent, the army officer and the university professor.
The four people that I chose to keep are the scientist (female), the priest (male), the lawyer (female),
and the doctor (male).
The reason for choosing the people listed above are:
1. The scientist will be able to do research and serve as a teacher for the kids that are produced
when the people are able to leave the bunker. The scientist is a female. This will allow her to be
a mother.
2. The priest will bring religion to the world after the virus. The priest will be able to educate
about god and the religions that existed before the outbreak of the virus. The priest is a male so
he can be a father.
3. The lawyer will be able to create a government in the new world. This will provide a system for
the people to follow and a way to elect leaders in the new found world. The lawyer is a female
so that she can be a mother.
4. The doctor will be able to help the people that remain if any of them become ill. The doctor will
also be able to perform surgeries and help in the delivery of babies. The doctor is a male so that
he will not have to worry about having kids and will be able to always deliver the babies.
