1823: Gas Liquefaction and Refrigeration
In 1802 John Dalton had stated his belief that all gases could be liquified by the use of low temperatures and/or high pressures. Faraday provided hard evidence for Dalton’s belief by applying pressure to liquefy chlorine gas and ammonia gas for the first time.
1825: Discovery of Benzene
Historically, benzene is one of the most important substances in chemistry, both in a practical sense – i.e. making new materials; and in a theoretical sense – i.e. understanding chemical bonding. Michael Faraday discovered benzene in the oily residue left behind from producing gas for lighting in London.
1831: Discovery of Electromagnetic Induction
Faraday discovered that a varying magnetic field causes electricity to flow in an electric circuit.
1834: Faraday’s Laws of Electrolysis
This is the science of understanding what happens at the interface of an electrode with an ionic substance. Electrochemistry is the science that has produced the Li ion batteries and metal hydride batteries capable of powering modern mobile technology. Faraday’s laws are vital to our understanding of electrode reactions.
Atomic theory
Democritus first proposed the idea of atoms as indivisible particles in 460 BC. John Dalton updated atomic theory in 1803, proposing that atoms of each element are identical and that chemical reactions involve combinations of atoms. J.J. Thomson discovered electrons in 1897, changing the model to include negatively charged electrons orbiting the atom's nucleus. Ernest Rutherford discovered the nucleus through alpha particle scattering experiments in 1911. Niels Bohr incorporated quantum theory in 1913, proposing electrons orbit in discrete energy levels. Erwin Schrodinger modeled electrons as probability clouds in 1926. James Chadwick discovered neutrons in 1932, completing the standard nuclear model.
William gilbert
William Gilbert was an English scientist born in 1544 who made major contributions to the understanding of magnetism and electricity. His greatest accomplishment was the discovery of magnetism and electricity. He published the influential book De Magnete in which he described his magnetic experiments and concluded that the Earth itself is a great magnet. He made the first clear distinction between magnetic and static electricity.

Charles-Augustin de Coulomb was a French physicist born in 1736. Some of his other contributions included establishing the inverse square law of electrical repulsion and torsion. He had a long career as a military engineer before submitting papers to the French Academy of Sciences, including his seminal work on electricity and magnetism. Coulomb died in 1806 and the SI unit of electric charge is named in his honor.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

- 2. Birth, Place Born, and Education Born January 20, 1775 A small community near Lyon, France. His Education had to do with studying history, geography, literature, philosophy and the natural sciences. His father taught him Latin and encouraged him to pursue his passion for mathematics.
- 3. Important Contributions He was a natural philosopher, and mathematician who is best known for his important contributions to the study of electrodynamics.
- 4. Other interesting facts Ampère was elected to the prestigious National Institute of Sciences in 1814, and was awarded a chair at the University of France in 1826. There he taught electrodynamics and remained a member of the faculty until his death. He was also a member of the Fellows of the Royal Society of London.
- 5. Death and Inspiration Ampère died June 10, 1836 in Marseilles, France, and was buried in the Montmartre Cemetery in Paris. Tower in Pairs in 1889, he included the names of 72 prominent French scientists on plaques around the first section at the base of the structure. The name of André Marie Ampère is included in that distinguished memorial.

Editor's Notes
- Ampère was the son of a successful businessman and local government official. Ampere spent a lot of time reading in the library of his family home.
- Ampère began a career as a science teacher. After teaching for a while in Lyon he accepted positions at institutions of higher learning including the College of France and the Polytechnic School at Paris, where he was a professor of mathematics.
- The theoretical foundation presented in this publication served as the basis for other ideas of the 19th century regarding electricity and magnetism. Hehelped to inspire research and discoveries by scientists including Faraday, Weber, Thomson, and Maxwell.
- The unit for measuring electric current was named in honor of Ampère. In the past, an ampere was understood as the force generated between parallel electrically charged wires, but as scientific knowledge evolves over time, the definition of ampere sometimes changes slightly also.
