ANALYSIS

2. Here you can see the colour scheme is very dark.
You have eminem wearing dark clothes. The sky is
also blue and not bright and sunny. Finally the
trees on the right hand side are almost dead and
do not even look green anymore. This could be a
representation of how the songs in his album are
goign to be, really sad and dark.
You can see how he is walking down a
long, dark road by himself. This could
represent how this album he is going to
change how he approaches songs and
he is on a path ro recovery. You can
also see that with the plus sign in the
word recovery.
You can see how the image has been
taken from behind him. This could
suggest that he is leaving his past
behind him and he is moving on to
better things. You can also see how he
is on the left hand side of the screen
and the road is in the middle which
could suggest that he wants to
emphasise how long thie journey will
be.
In the cover image we can see how he
is all alone, this could represent his
album and not having many features
because he wants to tell people how he
feels and what he's going through and
what he's going to do. This is true
because most of his songs are solo
and there are like only songs in which
he has a featured artist.

3. Here you can see how the lighting is really
dark which related to the song name
because when people die their vision tends
to get really dark and eventually black. This
connotes his vision for when he dies.
We also see in the image that he is waving
goodbye to his fans and that he does not
want to suddenly just leave them, this shows
that Eminem is loyal and will always love his
fans.
Finally we can see how before him or his
music career dies he has got all the spotlight
on him, the spot light has been empahsised
by the darkness around it. So this oculd be
showing everyone how at one time he did
have all the spotlight and his career was
booming but now its coming to and end.
Another connotation is the black roses
that have fallen to his feet. When know
that when Christian people have funerals
they drop roses into the burial. This
shows how when Eminem is gone he will
have fans who come to drop roses for
him and will still love him.
We can how this image is of Eminem
on the stage. This could show that he
has so much passion that he wants to
die doing what he loves and has done
all his life and that is perform to fans.
His costume that he is wearing is a suit.
We know that people wear black suits
when they go to funerals. This leaves
the fans confused, they do not know if
Eminem is talking about dying himself
or if he is talking about his music career
dying.

4. If you look at Justin's face he
genuinely looks confused. This could
be something that’s been going on in
his life, or it could be a woman giving
him mixed messages and he's
confused whether she likes him or
not.
The cover of this song is black and
white. This screams simple to me.
Maybe he just wants a simple answer
to his question. The white could also
mean he is innocent and has not
done anything and someone is
annoyed at him therefore he is asking
what do you mean so confusingly.
The cover looks like a mug shot.
Maybe he is taking this back to the
time when he went to prison and
thinks he done nothing wrong
therefore is wonder what he actually
done in order to be arrested.

5. Here you can see that Justin is looking
lost between himself and all the
darkness that surrounds him. This
shows that he is searching for
something but cant really find it.
The main color scheme is black, this
shows that he is looking for someone
in complete darkens therefore its going
to be hard for him to find that person
presumably a girl.
In this image you can see some of
the background but cant really see
what it is. Maybe this is what Justin
wants us to see, maybe he is seeing
the same thing. He can see someone
but just cant put a face to it and so
cant find the right person.

6. Rihanna's facial expression tells a
thousand words. It relates to the album
name because he facial expression just
screams she will not apologies for
anything. She is almost giving an evil
stare. This tells me that the album is
going to be hardcore stuff, not all about
love and sadness.
The background is a simple white
color, Maybe she is saying that she is
innocent therefore she has nothing to
apologies for. So why should she
apologies for something she hasn’t
done.
There is a lot of naked skin in this
image. One side of her breast is
covered by her elbow whereas the other
was not covered, but simply covered
with her album name. This tells people
she doesn’t care what people think, she
can do what she wants with her own
body. So media cannot really say
anything because she isn't showing
anything.
The colors in this image are simply
black and white. Maybe Rihanna is
trying to say there is no reading in-
between the lines, it is what it is. She's
not ashamed. That is why she is so
open with taking pictures where most of
her torso is being shown because it is
what it is, breasts.

7. As you can see Rihanna's face tells the
audience that she isn't scared and you
can try what you want. Almost giving
like an evil glare, or a provoking glare
almost to say “try something”
You can see that the cover has used
mainly black and then red for the
writing. Black tend to be amongst
villains and dark characters, maybe
that’s the sort of look Rihanna is trying
to give. Also the red writing makes it
look evil. Red tends to be associated
with evil, it could represent blood from
the Russian roulette game.
Rihanna is wearing barbered wire in this
image, maybe she is trying to show that
she is fearless and doesn’t feel pain.
Therefore she can play the game of
Russian roulette with confidence and is
not afraid of being harmed. It makes the
opponent feel intimidated.

8. The word take care is written in a type of
font used when you sing something to be
shipped away. This could be Drake telling a
friend, loves one to take care before he
leaves them behind or before they leave
him behind.
He is having a drink which could show that
maybe he is not coping well and burying his
sorrows into alcohol. Or it could show him
toasting to someone who meant a lot to
him and left him.
It looks as if he was going to have a candle
lit dinner with him and and they stood him
up. So this album could be about a lot of
heartbreak. With him being famous and
being stood up it must have hurt his huge
ego.
You can see how his head is facing
downwards, this hsows how he is not too
happy about this person leaving. He shows
his emotions in the ay he faces down. It
almost looks like he is putting his face down
in shame, so this could connote that it
could be to his girlfriend who he messed up
with.
You can see how the image has very low
key lighting and drake is also dressed in
black. This shows that this album is not all
love however maybe some hard times after
breaking up with someone.

9. You can see how the writing started from
the bottom has the word bottom right at
the bottom. This emphasises that he
really did start from the bottom where he
ad nothing growing up. This then
emphasises how he now has everything
he wants as his song is up on a billboard.
Another emphasis is how the image of
the huge billboard has been taken from
a low angle. This shows how the song
is now superior and has made a lot of
money. Especially as you can see how
everyone's heads are facing up
towards the billboard.
You can see how the colour scheme is
low key lighting. This could emphasise
how his life was before he became
famous. Dark colours tend to relate to
dark things, which in this case was
before his career.
As you can see he emphasises how he
started from the bottom a lot but he also
emphasises how he now has everything
he ever dreamed about. This is because
he shows how he has his song on a big
billboard and how people now look up to
him

10. Here you can see how Chris Brown
is looking back. This shows how he
is leaving his past behind and
moving on to better things. We know
he is moving onto better things
because you can see all the bright
colours and a castle behind him.
Which shows how he is going to be
successful.
We can see that he is becoming an adult
because he is wearing a suit which shows
he has matured and he is leaving his
childish past in the past. When i say
childish I mean how he had a fight over
bottle service with drake,
You can see that he is not happy with
his past because of his facial
expression as he is looking back. This
connotes that he did some stupid
things in the past and is no
determined to learn from his mistakes
and not do stupid things.
We know that he Is more mature now
because if you see the text it does not
say Chris I says Chr18. This is because
this album was made in 2006 and at this
year Chris Brown was 18. Therefore he
is not a legal adult.
He might be feeling on top of the
world seeing that he is on top of a
really tall building as you can see the
rest in the background. So maybe the
songs in this album will be about his
future and success.

11. Here you can see that Chris Brown is
not happy. This is shown through his
facial expression. He is ashamed to
even look at us and therefore keeps
his head down. This shows he might
have done something and the public
keep judging him hence the name of
the song is Don’t Judge Me.
We know his is sad for another reason
and that is because the main color
scheme is blue. Blue is associated
with feeling down in the dumps and
upset. Therefore we know that this
song is going to be emotional because
the public keep judging him.
This song could also be sort of an
apology for what he has done. This is
because he is formally dressed.
Famous people who give out speaces
such as MP’s and presidents wear
suits. Therefore this song may be
slightly apologetic
In this image if you look at the text you
can see that the text for Chris Brown is
slightly bigger than Don’t Judge Me.
This connotes that Chris Brown is
being the bigger person and
apologizing for what he has done, so
the public need to stop judging him.
