Beyond the EU: DORA and NIS 2 Directive's Global Impact
Magazine Analysis
1. The red colour symbolises
anger and aggression
which is shown in the
artists pose. It can also
represent love which
could reflect the love of
the music.
His hand is covering half of his
face which portrays mystery and a
sense of not wanting to be seen.
This could also show that we
don’t know what he’s going to do
next and the music he will
produce.
We are able to see his gold
teeth and watch which
shows wealth and therefore
power.
His stance is quite aggressive
and animalistic, it looks
threatening but reminds us we
are all just animals.
2. The red and white contrast
stands out to attract attention. The stance of the men is intimidating
which shows the image they want to
portray of themselves and their music.
The gold chains symbolise wealth which
is another thing they want to get across.
People sometimes wear balaclavas
when they have committed a crime
and don’t want to be identifies do
the use of one in the image shows
50 cent as dangerous and
threatening.
The names are in a big font
which shows importance.
The word “nightmare” further
portrays the threating image the
men are trying to portray.
3. Wealth is represented by the chains,
gold teeth etc.
The white writing stands out
against the burgundy back
ground.
His stands shows power
by having his hands by his
head, presenting his
chains showing his power
and status.
The background colours are
quite dark which makes the
image and writing stand out
more also as its quite reserved
it gives a professional feel to
the magazine.
His tattoos again show wealth.
The placing of the letters makes the
magazine unique.
4. The grey colour scheme gives the
magazine a professional feel.
His clothing also reflects the
professional feel which is a lot
different to the image portrayed by
other rappers. This shows that Kanye
is more serious or even thinks higher
of himself.
The arm rapped around him
could represent his wife as it
looks like it is restraining him and
holding his heart, keeping him in
this professional state.
As the heart is the only thing in
colour we can assume Kanye wants
to portray a loving image towards
him fans.
The colour grey is quite
boring which could show
how he’s calmed down
now he’s married.
5. His stance is quite humble as he
has his back to us but the way he
is looking back shows how he
always knows whats going on and
has eyes everywhere.
He is wearing black which is
associated with power, elegance and
formality which I think in a sense is
shown aswel in his stance.
Bold writing stands out to show
key information.
The use of black and white in his name could show
his good and bad sides, there is an equal number of
letters in each colour which shows it is balanced.
6. His stance id very fun and
playful which shows the image
he wants to portray.
The way he is crouched is also
quite animalistic which could
show he’s wild and again playful.
He has his hand by his face so we
cant see all of it but he leaves a
whole for his eye which could
show he always knows what's
going on and that he cant be
fooled.
The black and white colour
scheme is professional aswel
as being bold and stylish.
7. The sunglasses mean we cant
properly see his face which
shows a sense of mystery to the
readers.
They grey colour scheme is
professional and classy which I
think is what Usher wants to
get across as he is quite a
matured, old school rapper
and maybe see’s himself as
more experienced and like a
role model.
His clothing is stylish and formal
which again shows the image he
is trying to get across, he wants
to be someone to be looked up
to.
Grey is a cool colour which is
neutral and balanced, this calm
feel sets off the magazine.
8. The colour scheme is black and
yellow which links back to Wiz
Khalifa’s music as he has a song
called “Black and Yellow”.
The smoke and caption
“how high” links to drugs
which is usually a part of
rappers life, especially Wiz,
though its not the best thing
to be encouraging it is part
of his image and is therefore
reflected in the magazine.
The bold initials show his
importance and power
and it is central and stands
out.
The black background
shows a sense of mystery
and danger linking to
black holes.
9. The double page spread is very
feminine and girly, the use of pink
symbolises love for oneself and
others which is what Nicki is trying to
portray.
She is wearing zebra
skin which shows an
animalistic side of her.
This could show shes
wild and exotic.
Gospel is what is used to
describe the life of Jesus,
so this shows Nicki Minaj as
heavenly or even God like.
Her ring says “icon” which reinforces what people think of
her as she is so well known.
The magazine shows Nicki
as a role model or
someone to look up to, she
is presented as regal and
an “icon” which is how she
wants to be portrayed.
10. The image is very scary and
threatening which presents
Eminem as mad and not to
be messed with. He is
covered in blood and has a
knife like a butcher which is
intimating and un easy to
look at.
The representation of blood is life itself which links
to him almost dying in the caption above. By him
being covered in blood could show how his life has
been made clear to the public and always been in
the public eye.
Black and red is a stylish
combination. The red could
again resemble blood and by
having the inverse letter in this
colour shows how it links to
him.
11. Wearing sunglasses which
hides his face and creates a
sense of mystery.
The greys and blacks create an
urban feel which could reflect
where he came from.
Chains portray power and
wealth.
His hand is up showing rings and a bracelet
which again portrays wealth.
The red elements stand
out against the grey which
attracts attention.
12. Balloons symbolise
celebration which along
with the champagne creates
a party like vibe.
His suite shows wealth as he is
well dressed, also does the
champagne as it is an expensive
drink.
Sunglasses show mystery as
we cant see his face.
Resembles “men in black”.
The use of reflection could
show how Rick Ross is
looking back at himself to
see how he is and how he
wants to be portrayed.
Also the words “man
made” shows how we
impact everything and
how everything is
produced and created by
man.
