This document contains planning details for the production of images for a horror film or magazine. It includes proposed dates, locations, actors, costumes, props, shot types, and equipment needed for three planned shoots. The first two shoots would take place in a forest and feature an actor in a white nightgown and pale makeup holding an axe. The third shoot would be in a children's park and show the same actor swinging on a swing while holding the axe.

Here I have experimented with a few different font
styles which could be used for the title of the film
on the poster and the masthead of the magazine.
All of the font styles are sans serif which is not
actually conventional for the horror genre,
although I believe this font style looks more
‘spooky’ and is therefore more relevant to the
genre. I have specifically chosen to experiment
using the colours of black and red as they typically
represent the horror genre through them
connoting blood, danger, gloom and darkness.
However, after experimenting, I thought about the
background colours of the poster/magazine. If
they are going to be dark/black in colour then the
black font will not show up. This means that black is
only suitable depending on the background. So,
the colour white would be more suitable to use on
a black background as it would show the contrast
and therefore make it stand out much more.

Here I have experimented with font styles for
the coverlines and also the main cover story
for the magazine cover. As I have chosen
sans serif font styles for the masthead of the
magazine and the film title I reckon that the
coverlines need to be in a serif font style
which shows the contrast between the two
which will therefore allow close attention to
be paid to the masthead as well as the
coverlines. It is typical for the masthead and
the coverlines of a magazine to be in a
different font style. I think that the coverlines
should either be black, grey or red in colour
which will relate to the horror genre.
However, the main cover story needs to
stand out from the rest of the coverlines in
some way. I believe the font should be much
bigger and bolder and perhaps brighter in
colour. Also the font style could be sans serif
(as the majority of examples are) which will
show the contrast between the normal
coverlinesqnd the main cover story which will
highlight it’s importance. This will also make it
eye catching to the audience. The main
cover story should be red or gold in colour.

Here I have experimented with
font styles for the strapline for
the magazine, credits for the
poster and the slogan for both
the magazine cover and the
‘Drawing Blood’
‘Crimes-Times-Six’ (Version 1.00 De)film poster. I have the idea that
the strapline should be grey in
colour. Although on a black
background it may look good if
it is bright red or purple in
colour. The Slogan will more
than likely be black or grey in
‘No Fear’
colourwhich will work well
placed underneath the black
or red masthead. The credits
will probably be white in colour,
‘Nevermore’
especially if the image used for
the poster is dark because it will
allow the text to stand out.
However, greys and blacks
would also work on most
backgrounds as they are
mutual colours. The strapline
text will probably be in a serif
font style, like the examples I
have found. However, the
slogan will probably be in a
TruetypewriterPolygIOTT’
sans serif font style. The credits
‘DK Fledermaus’
will more than likely be either
one of the sans serif font styles
because the simple text allows
‘Penelope Anne’
an easy read for the audience.
