•The Greeks were skilled seafarers and established a vast trading
network throughout the Mediterranean.
•They traded goods such as olive oil, wine, and pottery, as well as ideas
and cultural influences with other civilizations.
Culture:
•The Greeks made significant contributions to the fields of art, literature,
philosophy, and science.
•They developed epic poems, such as the Iliad and the Odyssey, which
are still widely read today.
•Greek philosophers, such as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, explored
questions about the nature of reality, ethics, and politics.
•The Greeks also built remarkable architectural structures, such as the
Parthenon temple in Athens and the statue of Zeus at Olympia.
