The extended contact hypothesis, established by Wrightand
colleagues in 1997, posits that knowing that a member of
one’s own group has a close relationship with a member of
an out group can lead to more positive attitudes towards
that out group correlation research had demonstrated that
individuals who report knowledge that an in group member
has an out group friend typically report more positive out
group attitudes, while experimented research asshownthat
providing in group members with information creates the
same positive effect.
Imagined Contact:-
The imagined contact hypothesis was put forward by
Richard J. Crisy and Rhianan tunner(2009)andproposethat
simply imagining a positive encounter with a member or
member’s of on out group category can promote more
positive intergroup attitudes.
Electronic or E- Contact:-
Fiona white and her colleagues (2012-2014) recently
developed Electronic and E- Contact, in values an in group
member interacting with an in group member interacting
with an out group member over the internet and includes
text based, video based on line interaction.

The research examined how social networks contribute to enhance employability and the factors that determine employability in the Tamale metropolis of Ghana. Data were collected from 90 respondents using questionnaire. SPSS was used in the data analysis to run a binary logistic regression and factor analysis. Based on the analysis, the following were evident: The research found out that a high percentage of respondents were graduates from tertiary institutes with a low percentage of the respondents having been through the basic level of education. The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the way people live, work, and socialize, and has perhaps
even altered the reasons why they harass one another. To our knowledge, the present study is one of the first
studies to address cyberbullying among university students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional objectives
were to reveal the causes and types of cyberbullying that university students from East and Southeast Asia have
experienced because of COVID-19, and to explore the relationship between cyberbullying and self-esteem. Of the
525 university students from different East and Southeast Asian countries and varied academic backgrounds who
were invited to participate in the study, 310 students agreed and were included. Moreover, a sample of 400
Jordanian undergraduate students, who participated in cyberbullying against East and Southeast Asian students
on social media, answered a questionnaire to reveal their reasons for engaging in bullying during the COVID-19
pandemic. This study also examined the relationship and differences between sex and nationality. The findings
revealed that cyberbullying contributed to low self-esteem in students of East and Southeast Asian descent who
were victims of bullying. Men were more likely to be bullies and cyberbullies than women. The bullies admitted
that the main reason for cyberbullying was humor, and that they were unaware that their harsh or aggressive
behaviors could be categorized as bullying. This study aimed to make a positive contribution to the scant literature on cyberbullying/cyber racism among university students in an Arab country. We believe our findings can
help guide the formulation of policies and solutions that address cyberbullying, especially between resident and
foreign students

By conducting a set of quantitative surveys, this study aimed to detecting the correlation between Jordanian
University students’ perceptions of terrorism and a variety of demographic variables. The results revealed that
the majority of students viewed terrorism as the most heinous crime, and is never justified, and that terrorists
are hard-core criminals, separatist groups that want to weaken the unity of the country. Therefore, they should
be treated as traitors and punished as they pose a threat to national interest, and the safety and security of
citizens. While a few of student indicated that there are some terrorist activities’ as a repercussion of repressed
needs and the demands of society, it should however be managed and the violations committed by states
against their nationals be confronted with the aim of eliminating injustices to vulnerable citizens. Most
students believe that poverty and material deprivation are of the most prominent causes of terrorism. They
also stress the necessity of providing food security and optimal life for citizens to limit the spread of the
phenomenon of terrorism and achieve societal solidarity to save human lives and stability of communities.
Furthermore, the results confirmed that there are no academic specializations, age, sex, academic level, and
monthly income statistically significant differences in perceptions of the terrorism among university students.

Abstract
In line with Allport’s contact hypothesis, previous research showed that direct intergroup contact can reduce
prejudices. However, establishing face-to-face contact is not always feasible. We postulate that Facebook-groups
are a setting where direct and observed intergroup contact can develop, reducing prejudices and increasing
mutual acceptance. Analyzing the comments of nine Facebook-groups with the destructive and constructive
conflict scale, our results indicated that the expression of prejudices decreased and that of mutual acceptance
increased over time, both for in- and outgroup members of the Facebook-groups. Only the expression of less
prejudices, but not that of more mutual acceptance was predicted by intergroup contact. The influence of group-
based motivations on the engagement in intergroup contact is discussed, and the overall findings are integrated
in Steele and Brown’s process model of media practices.
Introduction
Computer-mediated communication (CMC) has thepotential to facilitate contact between users from different
countries, sociodemographic backgrounds, or with different
religious beliefs (see Wilhelm1 for a critical review).2 It en-
ables, thereby, encounters of ingroup and outgroup3 mem-
bers, that is, users that think of themselves as belonging to a
certain social category (e.g., women) and of others they in-
teract with, as being affiliated with a different one (e.g., men).
Previous research showed that such intergroup contact can
improve relations between groups by reducing prejudices4
and increasing mutual acceptance.5 These findings were ob-
tained after direct face-to-face contact or such that was
imagined, heard about, or observed.6 The goal of this article
was to investigate whether computer-mediated intergroup
contact can have the same impact on intergroup relations. To
do so, we assessed the social network site (SNS) Facebook,
and in particular, Facebook-groups* as a setting where com-
puter-mediated intergroup contact can develop.
Intergroup Contact and Intergroup Relations
The effect of intergroup contact on intergroup relations
was first studied by Gordon Allport. He proposed that prej-
udices, that is, negative evaluations, can be reduced through
outgroup contact, provided that the groups have an equal
status, work toward a shared goal, and receive institutional
support.4 Including over 50 years of research,6 a meta-
analysis7 concluded that direct intergroup contact reduced
prejudices also when these conditions were not fulfilled and
when ingroup members were merely exposed to the out-
group, for example, in spontaneous encounters.

Social Connections Strategy as a Predictive Factor of the First year Adolesce...
The study was carried out to investigate “social connections strategy and it influence on the first year adolescent academic adjustment in Cameroon state Universities. The researcher made used of mixed method with a concurrent nested research design. The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire. The sample was made up of 759 students proportionately selected from five state Universities University of Bamenda, University of Buea, University of Maroua and University of Yaounde 1 and university of Betoua . Data was analysed using inferential and descriptive statistics. The descriptive statistical tools used were frequency count, percentages and multiple responses set which aimed at calculating the summary of findings. To test the hypothesis, the Spearman rho test was used because the data were not normally distributed based on the statistics of the test of normality assumption trend. In addition to the Spearman’s rho test, the Cox and Snell test was equally computed to explain the explanatory power in the hypothesis in terms of percentage to ease comprehension in readers who find it difficult to interpret the correlation coefficient value. On the other, the qualitative data derived from open ended questions were analysed using the thematic analysis approach with the aid of themes, groundings frequency and quotations. Findings showed that social connections r value 0.442 , p value 0.001 significantly influence the academic adjustment of newly admitted University students. The positivity of the influence implied that newly admitted University students are more likely to be academically adjusted when they are social connected with significant others. Abstract. With the rapid development of Internet technology, social networks have been widely used in the world, and some
of them are really active and some people are just browsing. Based on this, the collective efficacy was proposed and the three
element interaction determinism was studied. The similarity between social network users was calculated and integrated, and
the collective efficacy was studied. 60 members of the four network groups were interviewed, and 15 influencing factors of
network group efficacy were coded. 230 college students were investigated by questionnaire and the multi factor analysis
method was integrated. The influence of community members’ efficacy on their community involvement was studied through
the initiative, focusing on sharing information and other dependent variables, attitudes, interests, values, personality and other
independent variables. The research results showed that increased awareness of the degree of interpersonal similarity will
increase the degree of involvement of social network group members, and psychological involvement played an intermediary
role in perceived interpersonal similarity and the increases of perceived interpersonal similarity will enhance the fo ...

Social construction of categories:
A social construct or construction concerns the meaning, notion, or connotation placed
on an object or event by a society, and adopted by the inhabitants of that society with respect to
how they view or deal with the object or event. In that respect, a social construct as an idea
would be widely accepted as natural by the society, but may or may not represent a reality shared
by those outside the society, and would be an \"invention or artifice that society.\"
A major focus of social constructionism is to uncover the ways in which individuals and
groups participate in the construction of their perceived social reality. It involves looking at the
ways social phenomena are created, institutionalized, known, and made into tradition by humans.

The Contact hypothesis has been described as one of the best ways to improve relations
among groups that are experiencing conflict. Gordon W. Allport (1954) is often credited with the
development of the contact hypothesis, also known as Intergroup Contact Theory.
Over the past half-century, Allport’s (1954) revised Contact Hypothesis has been a
guiding framework for strategies designed to reduce intergroup bias and conflict. This hypothesis
proposes that simple contract between groups is not sufficient to improve intergroup relations.
Certain prerequisite features must be present for contact between groups to reduce bias
successfully.
These characteristics of contact include equal status between the groups, cooperative
competitive) intergroup interaction, opportunities for personal acquaintance between the
members, especially with those whose personal characteristics do not support stereotypic
expectations, and supportive norms by authorities within and outside of the contact situation.
Although it is difficult to establish all of these conditions in contact situations, this formula is
effective when these conditions are met.
Allport\'s proposal was that properly managed contact between the groups should reduce
these problems and lead to better interactions. To obtain beneficial effects, the situation must

Abstract
Numerous studies have found that perspective-taking reduces stereotyping and prejudice, but they have only involved negative
stereotypes. Because target negativity has been empirically confounded with reduced stereotyping, the general effects of
perspective-taking on stereotyping and prejudice are unclear. By including both positively and negatively stereotyped targets, this
research offers the first empirical test of two competing hypotheses: The positivity hypothesis predicts that perspective-taking pro-
duces a positivity bias, with less stereotyping of negative targets but more stereotyping of positive targets. In contrast, the

constituencies. Three studies investigated their motivations to support charity-linked
events: emotional identification with a cause, self-determination theory (SDT) regula-
tions, and context-related Facebook promotions. This article addresses the recent call to
expand SDT research from a simple analysis of autonomous versus controlled moti-
vation, to studying the effects of all the regulations in the SDT continuum, in particular,
the inclusion of the tripartite dimensions of intrinsic motivation and integrated moti-
vation. Results demonstrated that the greater the emotional identification with the
cause, the stronger was the tendency to support the charity-linked event. Also, the
results in these social media contexts revealed that specific intrinsic dimensions (e.g.,
experience stimulation) are motivators of online and offline support, as is the personal
value nature of integrated regulation. Whereas only autonomous motivational regula-
tions predicted support for the two events organized specifically a for charitable causes,
both autonomous and controlled regulations predicted support of a for-profit event
organized with a charitable cause as an adjunct. These findings can assist practitioners
in designing more effective social media communications in support of charity-linked
events.

Kende, Ujhelyi, Joinson, & Greitemeyer, 2015).
Our research examined motivation to support
charity-linked events of nonprofit organizations
that are currently faced with increased compe-
tition for resources and declining government

Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. The Role of Mentoring and Its Influence on the Effectiveness of the Teaching ...
This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. Decategorization Model:- The Hypothetical data social categorization on Inter group in U.P. the first modal passed on the idea thatcontactwith be most effective in interactions are person – based ratherthan category – based (Brewer and miller, 1984) A primary consequences of categorization is the depersonalization of members of the out-group Social behavior in Categorization based- interactions is characterized by a tendency to treat individual member of the out – group of undifferentiated representatives of a unified social category, impendent of individual differences that may exist within groups. This perspective on the contact situations suggests that intergroup interactions should be structured so astoreduce the salience of category distinctions and to promote opportunities to get to know out-group member as individuals Attending to personals characteristics of group member not only provide the opportunity to disconfirm category stereo types, it also break down the monolithic perception of the out- groups as a homogeneousunit(wilder 1978) In this scheme, the complete situation encourages attention to information at the individual lived that replaces category identity as the most useful basic for classifying participant, beware and miter(1984) a spume that such contact experience effectively breakdown stereo typing & Prejudice because undermine the availabilityandusefulness of in group – out group categorization in interactions with group members. 2. Conditions of Intergroup Contact:- In the year prior to All Port’s framing of intergroup contact theory, social scientists has already begun discussing the conditions of intergroup contact that would intergroup anxiety, prejudice or other “ deter mental psychological effects”. Wilner, walkly and coor, two year prior to the nature of prejudice, studied segregation and integration in housing projects and also suggested four conditions. Intergroup contact is believed to reduces the fear and anxiety people have when interacting with the out- group which in turn reduces their negative evaluationof the out group. C. Intergroup contact hypothesized to increase people activity to take the perspective of the out group and empathies with their concerns. D. Empirical research has only behind weak support for role of out group knowledge in prejudice reduction however the affective mechanisms of inter group anxiety and out group empathy have accumulated extensive empirical support. 4. For example in many countries social and religious groups are often residentially, educationally or occupationally segregated, Which limits the opportunity for direct contact however, even when the opportunity for direct contact is high, Anxiety and fear can produce a negative or positive contact experience or head to the avoidance of the contact situation altogether. Indirect forms of intergroup contact include. Extended Contact:- The extended contact hypothesis, established by Wrightand colleagues in 1997, posits that knowing that a member of one’s own group has a close relationship with a member of an out group can lead to more positive attitudes towards that out group correlation research had demonstrated that individuals who report knowledge that an in group member has an out group friend typically report more positive out group attitudes, while experimented research asshownthat providing in group members with information creates the same positive effect. Imagined Contact:- The imagined contact hypothesis was put forward by Richard J. Crisy and Rhianan tunner(2009)andproposethat simply imagining a positive encounter with a member or member’s of on out group category can promote more positive intergroup attitudes. Electronic or E- Contact:- Fiona white and her colleagues (2012-2014) recently developed Electronic and E- Contact, in values an in group member interacting with an in group member interacting with an out group member over the internet and includes text based, video based on line interaction.
