Analysis of credits used
1.
2. Chosen Film
The film I chose to analyse the credits from was
Cyberbully. I chose this film to watch as it’s one of
the influencers for our production. As well as this, by
doing this research it allowed me to gain a better
understanding of credits used at the end of the film
as well as the title sequence; furthermore making
me more capable at doing the credits for If I Leave.
3. Title Sequence
The film begins with the main title
displayed on the bottom right hand corner.
The name ‘Cyberbully’ references to how
this film is based around the internet. It is
also strongly hinted that the theme is about
bullying via social networking sites as the
two Ls have been made to look like
forward slashes. This is put first as it’s the
most important credit of the film.
The next titles played within the
sequence is the main actors present.
This is demonstrated with the main
actress sitting a computer screen with
her name below. The font chosen is also
important as it needs to be relevant to
your film itself within your chosen genre.
4. Title Sequence
Following this the people who took part in
the creation of it are shown in any
particular order. The first one shown is
‘music by’ which gives credit to the music
director. If songs performed by artists are
used this can also be included within the
title sequence.
The editor comes next in this title
sequence giving credit to the person
responsible for this task. This person plays
a major role within a production company
as they are responsible for what you see
as the finished product. Following this, the
remaining members of crew are shown
throughout this sequence.
5. End Credits
Concluding the film a short message is
shown surrounding a foundation. As this
film was based around the topic of Cyber
bullying this shows the production have
done extensive research making this
informative. The foundation chosen is
therefore relevant for their film and also
giving recognition towards them.
After this message shows the remaining
cast members who didn’t play major roles
within the film begin to show. Typically
within films this is in order of appearance
but this isn’t detrimental to whether the film
is successful or not.
6. End Credits
The last few credits shown are in relation to
the production company itself as well as other
that may have been involved in the creation of
the film. This begins with the location of it
being filmed, as well as legal distribution
information showing the logos by the
companies also. Other companies have been
promoted from this film by having a collection
of each one who took part credited at the end.
