The Simulation of the Supply Chain in an Investment Company by Genetic Algori...Mohammad Ali Arjamfekr
Nowadays, the supply chain is considered as the most effective element among the economic and manufacturing enterprises and the reason of its foundation is the increase of the pressures by the customer demands on high quality and quick service. Time management in the supply chain causes quick service and the enhancement of customers’ satisfaction level that is the most important component for managing waiting reduction time. After the selection of the suitable supplier, the amount of optimal order of each one of the suppliers must be obtained, implementing using the multi-objective planning models. Thus the purpose of this study is to investigate the simulation of the supply chain in an investment company by genetic algorithm and PSO. This work is done using the multi-objective model design, with the purposes of reducing existing costs in chain, as well as maximizing the purchased materials’ quality from the suppliers.
In recent years, management and, consequently, supply chain performance measurement, has attracted the attention of a large number of managers and researchers in the field of production and operations management. In parallel with the evolution of organizations from a single approach to a network and supply chain approach, performance measurement systems have also changed and moved towards network and supply chain performance measurement. Therefore, in order to face the storm of great change and transformation and not give in to the wave of competitive aggression, organizations have long had one thing in common, and that is to focus approaches and focus efforts towards achieving results. Results that lead to a competitive advantage and are more effective and decisive in the performance indicators of the organization, including earning more. In this study, in order to identify and prioritize the factors affecting the supply chain in manufacturing companies, using indicators such as cost, timely delivery and procurement time to evaluate the supply chain efficiency is considered. And performance evaluation was performed at the manufacturer level. Therefore, in order to evaluate the performance of the supply chain using the AHP integration approach and the DEA method approach in the fuzzy environment, the suppliers and suppliers of the manufacturing company were evaluated and ranked in terms of performance.

Inventory management was a major issue for all the industries. The supplied of products to customers required the readiness of the inventory. This allowed rapid delivery and reduced waiting time for customers so that companies could profit from it. Any stock out or insufficiency would lead to loss of customers because their needs cannot be met. This would hurt firm profitability and market competitiveness. Inventory control was critical to retain liquidity and avoid overstocking. This was also the key to firm's survival and sustainability. To ensure an appropriate level of inventory, it was necessary to manage the inventory levels with sales forecast on an on-going basis. This paper tried to find out its inventory control in order to assisted Company T to improve its inventory control. Firstly, the products offered by Company T are classified into groups. The R programming language was then used to stimulate and forecast future sales of different products. Different techniques were applied to manage the inventory levels according to the results of categorizations and forecasts.; 3.Consolidation of all the product items and grouping them into activity-based classifications; 4.Simulation and forecasting of future sales according to the categorization results; 5. Formulation of different controlled techniques based on the simulations and forecasts, and application of these methods to inventory management.

Improving Supply Chain Activity using Simulationijsrd.com
The discovery through computational modeling and simulation has become the third pillar of science, alongside theory and experimentation. As computational power increases, simulation has gained in importance and has become a major research area, where highly parallel computation is utilized. In this dissertation, we have performed the simulation by selecting a single machine which is involved in manufacturing the highest number of products. Data are collected for all the processes involved in the manufacturing processes and an input modelling analysis is been done for the data collected. After the analysis is completed, a simulation model is constructed using ARENA which involved all the manufacturing process using the simulation tools. With the help of the simulation tools we will be able to identify activities causing the bottlenecks and delays in the entire manufacturing processes. Similarly, this simulation can be carried out for each and every machine of the company so that we can identify the bottlenecks and delays. As a result, the bottlenecks and delays can be reduced and the entire supply chain can be improved. This paper aims at combining supply chain management and simulation - to give an overview of both areas and shows how supply chain management can profit from simulation and also to identify the delays and bottlenecks in the overall manufacturing process. Lastly, a sample of how a supply chain can be optimized, in the simulation development suite ARENA.
Determinants of Supply Chain Performance of Indian Manufacturing OrganizationsWaqas Tariq
This paper aims at proposing various determinants of supply chain performance of Indian manufacturing organizations. The determinants are summarized based on extensive literature review of empirical research articles on supply chain management (SCM) and performance measurement approaches. This study is a part of a larger research project exploring SC related practices. A critical analysis is carried out so as to identify research gaps in context of performance measurement of supply chains, as well as to propose directions for future research. A conceptual model is also proposed. Critical investigation of selected articles led to an idea that there can be significant effect of selected variables on SC Performance. It is to be seen that how various parameters, taken from the literature review, affect SC performance and ultimately contributing to its competitiveness. The various parameters like supplier-buyer relations, external supply chain, environmental factors, human metrics, information sharing and performance measurement approaches are taken in a single study in the context of Indian manufacturing organizations. Based on a pilot study with sample size of 100, empirical tests resulted in reduction of items. Based on the obtained results, the organizations can enhance the SCM performance by improving the current practices/strategies through focusing on the determinants that significantly influence SCM performance. Further research can be carried out by using data of various supply chains of other sectors and industries of India to generalize the research.

The role of manufacturing operations is the process of beginning a production process to a task of final assem-bly, with increased reliance on a significant number of supply chain participants who have differing objectives, perspectives and processes. However, an effective partnering between companies and their suppliers remains a key to lean supply chain management excel-lence. A lean supply chain offers competitive advantage to the suppliers, therefore the need for the Nigerian mar-ket to embrace the idea of lean based supply chain system. This paper examines the prospects of transforming from the traditional supply chain system to a lean supply chain system in Nigeria. But it is noted that the process could be tasking. It was observed that to succeed in lean supply chain management, organizations must be willing to share risks and rewards, and to build the underlying infrastructure to apply these tools. In this paper it was resounded that the rewards could be in-flaming as various benefits such as a stronger costumer, supplier relationship, increased competitive advantage with velocity of supply etc, applies. It is concluded that, to the Nigerian economy it will be increased cash flow from the costumers and increased market forces.
AN OPTIMIZING INTEGRATED INVENTORY MODEL WITH INVESTMENT FOR QUALITY IMPROVEM...IJITCA Journal
This paper presents a vendor-buyer integrated inventory model. This paper considers the problem of a vendor and buyer integrated production inventory model for the vendor and the buyer optimization model under quality improvement investment and setup cost reduction in the production system such that the total profit is maximized. The relationship between demand and price is considered as a linear. Entirety profit is the supply chain presentation calculate and it is calculated as the dissimilarity among revenue from sales and total cost, where the last is the sum of the vendor’s and buyer’s setup/order and inventory holding costs, opportunity in setup cost and opportunity investment cost. This manuscript efforts to conclude the optimal production run time and capital investments in setup cost reduction and process quality improvement for production system such that the total profit is maximized. The main focus for this paper is the setup cost reduction and investment for quality improvement. The proposed model is based on the integrated total profit for both buyer and vendor which find out the optimal value of order quantity, opportunity investment cost for quality improvement and setup cost reduction. The solution procedure is developed in order to find the total profit of the vendor and the buyer which is to be maximized. To conclude, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the solution procedure.

BROAD UNEXPOSED SKILLS OF TRANSGENDER ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
Since ages gender difference is always a debatable theme whether caused by nature, evolution or environment. The birth of a transgender is dreadful not only for the child but also for their parents. The pain of living in the wrong physique and treated as second class victimized citizen is outrageous and fully harboured with vicious baseless negative scruples. For so long, social exclusion had perpetuated inequality and deprivation experiencing ingrained malign stigma and besieged victims of crime or violence across their life spans. They are pushed into the murky way of life with a source of eternal disgust, bereft sexual potency and perennial fear. Although they are highly visible but very little is known about them. The common public needs to comprehend the ravaged arrogance on these insensitive souls and assist in integrating them into the mainstream by offering equal opportunity, treat with humanity and respect their dignity. Entrepreneurship in the current age is endorsing the gender fairness movement. Unstable careers and economic inadequacy had inclined one of the gender variant people called Transgender to become entrepreneurs. These tiny budding entrepreneurs resulted in economic transition by means of employment, free from the clutches of stereotype jobs, raised standard of living and handful of financial empowerment. Besides all these inhibitions, they were able to witness a platform for skill set development that ignited them to enter into entrepreneurial domain. This paper epitomizes skill sets involved in trans-entrepreneurs of Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu State and is a groundbreaking determination to sightsee various skills incorporated and the impact on entrepreneurship.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

ATTRITION IN THE IT INDUSTRY DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC: LINKING EMOTIONAL INTE...IAEME Publication
Globally, Millions of dollars were spent by the organizations for employing skilled Information Technology (IT) professionals. It is costly to replace unskilled employees with IT professionals possessing technical skills and competencies that aid in interconnecting the business processes. The organization’s employment tactics were forced to alter by globalization along with technological innovations as they consistently diminish to remain lean, outsource to concentrate on core competencies along with restructuring/reallocate personnel to gather efficiency. As other jobs, organizations or professions have become reasonably more appropriate in a shifting employment landscape, the above alterations trigger both involuntary as well as voluntary turnover. The employee view on jobs is also afflicted by the COVID-19 pandemic along with the employee-driven labour market. So, having effective strategies is necessary to tackle the withdrawal rate of employees. By associating Emotional Intelligence (EI) along with Talent Management (TM) in the IT industry, the rise in attrition rate was analyzed in this study. By implementing talent management strategy, organizations would have the option to retain their skilled professionals while additionally working on their overall performance. It is the course of appropriately utilizing the ideal individuals, setting them up for future top positions, exploring and dealing with their performance, and holding them back from leaving the organization. It is employee performance that determines the success of every organization. The firm quickly obtains an upper hand over its rivals in the event that its employees having particular skills that cannot be duplicated by the competitors. Thus, firms are centred on creating successful talent management practices and processes to deal with the unique human resources. Firms are additionally endeavouring to keep their top/key staff since on the off chance that they leave; the whole store of information leaves the firm's hands. The study's objective was to determine the impact of talent management on organizational performance among the selected IT organizations in Chennai. The study recommends that talent management limitedly affects performance. On the off chance that this talent is appropriately management and implemented properly, organizations might benefit as much as possible from their maintained assets to support development and productivity, both monetarily and non-monetarily.
A STUDY OF VARIOUS TYPES OF LOANS OF SELECTED PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR BANKS...IAEME Publication
Banking regulations act of India, 1949 defines banking as “acceptance of deposits for the purpose of lending or investment from the public, repayment on demand or otherwise and withdrawable through cheques, drafts order or otherwise”, the major participants of the Indian financial system are commercial banks, the financial institution encompassing term lending institutions. Investments institutions, specialized financial institution and the state level development banks, non banking financial companies (NBFC) and other market intermediaries such has the stock brokers and money lenders are among the oldest of the certain variants of NBFC and the oldest market participants. The asset quality of banks is one of the most important indicators of their financial health. The Indian banking sector has been facing severe problems of increasing Non- Performing Assets (NPAs). The NPAs growth directly and indirectly affects the quality of assets and profitability of banks. It also shows the efficiency of banks credit risk management and the recovery effectiveness. NPA do not generate any income, whereas, the bank is required to make provisions for such as assets that why is a double edge weapon. This paper outlines the concept of quality of bank loans of different types like Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of selected public and private sector banks. This study is highlighting problems associated with the role of commercial bank in financing Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME). The overall objective of the research was to assess the effect of the financing provisions existing for the setting up and operations of MSMEs in the country and to generate recommendations for more robust financing mechanisms for successful operation of the MSMEs, in turn understanding the impact of MSME loans on financial institutions due to NPA. There are many research conducted on the topic of Non- Performing Assets (NPA) Management, concerning particular bank, comparative study of public and private banks etc. In this paper the researcher is considering the aggregate data of selected public sector and private sector banks and attempts to compare the NPA of Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of public and private sector banks. The tools used in the study are average and Anova test and variance. The findings reveal that NPA is common problem for both public and private sector banks and is associated with all types of loans either that is housing loans, agriculture loans and loans to SMES. NPAs of both public and private sector banks show the increasing trend. In 2010-11 GNPA of public and private sector were at same level it was 2% but after 2010-11 it increased in many fold and at present there is GNPA in some more than 15%. It shows the dark area of Indian banking sector.

ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. The research problem lays upon disclosing the importance of role of social entrepreneurship in rural development of India. The paper the tendencies of social entrepreneurship in India, to present successful examples of such business for providing recommendations how to improve situation in rural areas in terms of social entrepreneurship development. Indian government has made some steps towards development of social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and social in- novation, but a lot remains to be improved.
OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION RADIAL NETWORK USING HYBRID MET...IAEME Publication
Distribution system is a critical link between the electric power distributor and the consumers. Most of the distribution networks commonly used by the electric utility is the radial distribution network. However in this type of network, it has technical issues such as enormous power losses which affect the quality of the supply. Nowadays, the introduction of Distributed Generation (DG) units in the system help improve and support the voltage profile of the network as well as the performance of the system components through power loss mitigation. In this study network reconfiguration was done using two meta-heuristic algorithms Particle Swarm Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm (PSO-GSA) to enhance power quality and voltage profile in the system when simultaneously applied with the DG units. Backward/Forward Sweep Method was used in the load flow analysis and simulated using the MATLAB program. Five cases were considered in the Reconfiguration based on the contribution of DG units. The proposed method was tested using IEEE 33 bus system. Based on the results, there was a voltage profile improvement in the system from 0.9038 p.u. to 0.9594 p.u.. The integration of DG in the network also reduced power losses from 210.98 kW to 69.3963 kW. Simulated results are drawn to show the performance of each case.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

A recent global survey done by ‘Deloytte & Touche’ showed that more than 66% of
respondence indicated electronic links has tools to enhance supply chain relationships. In the
available scanty literature, wide arrays of technological tools are available to optimize the
supply chains. The right supply chain modeling tool can help to squeeze cost and inventory
out of the supply chain while improving service to customers. Modeling tools that can help to
optimize supply chains have been around for years. But recently they’re getting increased
attention because of their lower cost and greater capability, coupled with companies’ quests
for improved supply chain performance. A variety of modeling tools are available today. The
right type of model for optimizing the supply chain begins with understanding the
environment in which an organization works and how often there is a need to change the
supply chain. Dynamic environments have products with short life cycles, or use segmented
customer fulfillment with multiple service levels, lead times and fulfillment methods require
more frequent supply chain reconfiguring.
Benita M. Beamon1
in the paper explained the supply chain management has an
important role to play in moving goods more quickly to their destination. SCM is a
management process that deals with inbound and outbound flows, from the perspective of the
focal organization, its suppliers, and its customers. A supply chain is comprised of two basic,
integrated processes: (1) The Production planning and inventory Control process (2) the
Distribution and logistics process.
These processes interact with one another to produce an integrated supply chain. The
design and management of these processes determine the extent to which the supply chain
works as a unit to meet required performance objectives. Some of the consequences of supply
chain integration result in Reduced inventory at all sites of the supply chain, reduced cost,
faster processing speeds, reduced lead times, reduced warehouse costs, reduced obsolescence,
greater responsiveness to customer changes, electronic links to suppliers and customers,
continuous flow of products and information, speeding up the development cycle.
2.0 LITERATURE REVIEW
The importance of performance measurement in the context of SCM cannot be
overstated. Timely and accurate assessment of overall system and individual system
component performance is paramount. An effective performance measurement system

provides the basis to understand the system, influences behavior throughout the system, and
provides information regarding the results of system efforts to supply chain members and
outside stakeholders. In effect, performance measurement is the glue that holds the complex
value-creating system together, directing strategic formulation as well as playing a major role
in monitoring the implementation of that strategy. In addition, research findings suggest that
measuring supply chain performance in and of itself leads to improvements in overall
performance.
Despite its importance, supply chain performance often was measured in
oversimplified and sometimes counterproductive (cost-reduction-based) terms. Lack of an
appropriate performance measurement system has been cited as a major obstacle to effective
supply chain management.
In today’s competitive scenario, supply chain management has assumed broader
dimension with the coming of the technology. Today it is seen that SCM is a planning and
control of the flow of goods and material from the original supplier through multiple
production and logistic operations to the ultimate consumer. Hence to meet the expectations,
SCM today embraces multiple technologies like ERP, advanced planning and scheduling
systems, E-commerce and logistics, execution system supported by business intelligence
tools. The ultimate objective is to meet customer demand effectively and efficiently.
3.0 METHODOLOGY
After thorough literature review and discussions with the concerned researchers, the
following steps are identified to continue the research work. An attempt has been made in this
work to inculcate analytical techniques along with modeling the SCM problem.
3.1 AREA OF STUDY
Even though the Supply Chain Management has been broadly classified into two parts
like Inward and outward, a small contribution is made towards optimizing the outward supply
chain performance, since the outward has lot of constraints and uncertainties compared to the
inward supply chain where everything is in the hands of the organization. The present work
focuses on optimizing performance of outward Supply Chain by optimizing the critical
parameters which influences the performance. The researcher has made an attempt to
optimize the performance of the supply chain by taking a chain with 5 points by identifying
the nearest route to deliver the goods with the help of OR Technique.
3.2 PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
The problem is identified and all the parameters which have influence on performance
of supply chain either through the literature survey or by collecting the information from the
corporate are collected. In this case the objective of the problem and the constraints are
identified. The secondary data may be required for identifying the problem. This may involve
the following:
Diagnosis of the problem from its symptoms if not obvious (i.e. what is the
problem)
Delineation of the sub problem to be studied. Often we have to ignore parts of
the entire problem.
Establishment of objective, limitations and requirements.

3.3 PROBLEM FORMULATION
The problem can be modeled in different ways, and the selection of an appropriate
model may be crucial to the success of the problem. In addition to algorithmic considerations
for solving the model, the availability and accuracy of the real-world data that is required as
input to the model also must be considered. Note that the "data barrier" can appear here,
particularly if people are trying to block the project. Often data can be collected / estimated,
particularly if the potential benefits from the project are large enough. In this case a clear
formulation is expected, where the objective function and the constraints are identified. An
attempt also will be made to explore the various techniques to solve the same. In this
Research, an attempt has been made to minimize the total Supply chain model cost
(Outbound) for the given constraints. The costs like Transportation, Carrying, Ordering and
Information Costs are the constraints in the problem, which will be minimized without
disturbing the supply chain. After formulating the problem with the objective function and
constraints, the same may be solved using the Lagrangian Method for getting initial solution.
After reviewing the solution, the fine tuning of the solution will be done to suit the
organization needs. The initial Supply chain model is as follows:
Total Supply Chain Cost = Order handling costs +Inventory costs + Warehousing costs +
Transport costs + Information costs
Equation
Objective Function: Minimize Z = α + β1(Tc) + β2(Op) + β3(Vc) + β4(Wc) + β5(Ic) +e
Where α = constant
Tc = Transportation cost = No. of units x Transport cost per unit
Op = Order Processing cost = No. of orders x Order cost per order
Vc = Inventory carrying cost= No. of Units x Storing cost Per unit
Wc = Warehousing cost= No. of Units x Warehouse cost per unit
Ic = Information Cost= Cost spent on collection of Information
β1, β2, β3, β4, β5, are the associated output elasticities and e represents the error term.
Since the numbers of variables are more than the number of constraints, the problem
becomes complex that to without assuming zero for any variable makes still complex, hence
the Lagrangean Method is the only mathematical technique is used for solving by using
MATLAB for the initial solution. Operation Research technique is used for fine tuning the
solution to meet the expectations of the organization.
3.4 MODEL VALIDATION
Model validation involves running the algorithm for the model in order to ensure:
Input data is free from errors.
Results from the algorithm seem reasonable (or if they are surprising we can at
least understand why they are surprising). Sometimes we feed the algorithm
historical input data (if it is available and is relevant) and compare the output
with the historical result.

6510(Online), Volume 4, Issue 3, May- June (2013)
12
3.5 SOLUTION OF THE MODEL
Specially developed algorithms, can be used to solve the model. In practice, a
"solution" often involves very many solutions under varying assumptions to establish
sensitivity.
3.6 IMPLEMENTATION
This phase may involve the implementation of the results of the study or the
implementation of the algorithm for solving the model as an operational tool. In the first
instance, detailed instructions on what has to be done (including time schedules) to
implement the results must be issued. In the second instance, operating manuals are used as
one of the algorithm and an operational tool. Hence form above steps; we can conclude that
the first step, understands a model, the assumptions made to represent the system
mathematically or in a simulation. The next step can be to understand the uncertainty and
variability used to build the model.
4.0 CONCLUSION
Supply chain performance measurement is vital for a company in order to survive in
today’s competitive business environment. Supply chain performance measurement should be
a business-critical process, driven by metrics and supported by business intelligence. With
increasing competition and changing market forces, tapping into this critical asset is essential
in sustaining competitive advantage in the global space. The models and methods used to
accurately study the systems are, expectedly, complex. However, if supply chain systems
could be classified on the bases of specific characteristics, such as uncertainty or volume of
demand, number of echelons, or number of items produced, there may be rule-of-thumb
techniques that suggest operational characteristics that may achieve a certain objective (or set
of objectives). Based on review of literature we can concentrate on particular characteristics
like uncertainty, risk or certainty of supply chain and we can device a model for optimization
of key factor in that area.
