door opening to the person who is inside in the
respective area.
People with deafness suffering from this process of
knocking, this is because the response from the one
who is knocked probably can not be heard by a deaf.
An advanced Door-knock aid for deaf , is a project that
will make sure that a deaf does not suffering to his/her
knocking request, because the system will
automatically tell him/her if the knocked one is absent ,
busy or allow him/her to enter in the respective area.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
 It has been shown that, the early Door Knock
systems does not favour people with deafness ,
because the deaf can not hear the reception
voice/alert from the one inside as a result of
misunderstanding to the deaf.
OBJECTIVES
 GENERAL OBJECTIVES
To make sure that a deaf does not afford to his/her knocking
request, because the system will tell him/her if the knocked one is
absent , busy or allow him or her to enter in the respective area.
 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
i. To have the system that will respond faster to the deaf’s knocks.
ii. To save the deaf’s time for waiting the response of his or her
knock request.
iii. To have the system that will be able to detect the presence of a
person who knocked by a deaf.
ADVANTAGES OF THE PROJECT
 An advanced Door-knock aid for deaf is a project that
has several advantages in society.
Some of the advantages including the following:-
i. The system will operate automatically without the
need of an operator.
ii. The system will be used by both (normal and dis-
abled people like the deaf).
iii. The system will eliminate the problem losing of
time for waiting for the request from the one who
knocked while he/she is absent.
iv. The system will use small amount of power
compared to current door knocking systems.
WEAKNESS OF THE PROJECT
 The weaknesses of this project based on the
following categories:-
1) Training is required to be provided to all
people who will use this system because it is a
new system of Door knocking.
2) The system works in the fields with the
presence of electricity, hence in order to work
efficiently the owner of this system must use
solar energy as a means of powering this
system.
