Trees are the longest living organisms on Earth and provide oxygen for many people. A single mature tree can provide oxygen for 10 people per year. Trees also absorb significant amounts of carbon dioxide and pollutants from the air, with one acre of trees removing up to 2.6 tons of carbon dioxide annually. Planting just 30 trees per year can offset the greenhouse gases produced by a home and vehicle.
