The author ported over 325 pull requests to help move Twisted to Python 3. Some challenges included changes to Python 3 like print becoming a function and str handling, as well as porting old C extensions. Running extensive unit tests was important. While difficult, porting benefits code quality and keeps Twisted compatible with Python's direction.

In this deck I've looked at the response from London's Mayor, the police, journalists, media, the government, the public, and others. It is intended for a lecture to public relations students at Newcastle University.
The deck tells the story of how crisis situations have unfolded in media over the last 40 years, as media has changed.

130 European data startups were analyzed that focused on collecting and interpreting data to create actionable insights. The top sectors for funded startups were advertising technology, e-commerce, health, customer insights, and sales/marketing. The United Kingdom, France, and Germany led investment in these startups, with the UK attracting the most funding. On average, startups received around €4-6 million in funding per round. The analysis showed that data startups play a key role in collecting data, interpreting it through analysis, and creating actionable outputs that can help address challenges in areas like transportation, health, crime, energy, and agriculture.

IT can be used effectively in education to have a positive impact if implemented properly. When integrated thoughtfully with the curriculum, technology can help engage and motivate students by making learning more interactive, collaborative, and multi-sensory. Some ways IT can positively impact education include using virtual learning environments for flexible access to resources, tablets for field work and expanding the classroom, and chat rooms or discussion forums to facilitate communication and learning in various subjects. However, simply adding technology is not enough - teachers must design interactive lessons that maximize available tools to achieve clear learning objectives.

This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices.
