Content Promotion Mistakes You’ll Never Make AgainNeoMam Studios
Can you accurately pinpoint the reasons why some of your content promotion campaigns fly whilst others fail horribly? Does your outreach team know what the healthy ratio is between email opens and positive replies?
If you answered ‘no’ to either of those questions, chances are that you’re making easily solvable mistakes that are not allowing you to achieve consistently good results for your content marketing campaigns.
In this presentation, Gisele Navarro will share some of the content promotion mistakes she made, and the lessons learned along the way.
An inspiration session and workshop I gave to marketing and communication team, focusing on societal and digital trends. Focus on disconnecting, retail innovation, education, happiness and storydoing.
“Fail forward”
"Every journey begins with a single step"
“Do or do not, there is no try”
There’s no shortage of inspirational mantras, but these sayings offer little advice to surmounting departmental silos, generational gulfs, intimidating power distances and other communication roadblocks that stymie creative collaboration in the workplace.
These barriers exist because the roles we play in a team environment provide us with a set of rules for interacting with each other. Ironically, these rules often prevent us from doing the very thing we’ve come together as a team to do: Collaborate!
In this session, Carolyn and Anna will discuss how to break the rules and transform those roadblocks into building blocks… freeing you and your team to live up to the mantra of your choice.
Learn about common communication barriers; why they exist and how they hinder team innovation.
Understand the value of design synthesis as a group activity, and how play is a central component to the co-creation dynamic.
Explore a type of creative team play called a Spark-a-Thon. You’ve probably heard of the hack-a-thon, a fun and popular way to immerse yourself into a problem and solve it with code. What would happen if this format of time-limited, team-oriented creation was applied to design concepting? The answer: The Spark-a-Thon, which leads to bigger ideas and a stronger team problem-solving dynamic.
Gain tips, tricks, and resources, so that you can go run your own Spark-a-Thon. You'll leave armed with some benefits and results you’ll glean from it, too - just in case you need to build an internal business case for it.
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but play is certainly the father. Join us to learn some serious play!

"The best conferences I've been to are those that supercharged my work once I was back in front of the computer on the next day.
One would think that what inspired me were the talks but actually most of the learning happened while having lunch, standing around the hallways or enjoying a drink at the pub. It was in those moments when I got to chat with people who were facing the same issues I was -- and if I was lucky, I even got the chance to chat with one of the speakers face-to-face...
So how about we miss the talk and go right into the face-to-face chat?"

I happen to love podcasts and it seems like the I’m not alone, 20% of Americans are now listening to podcasts at least once a month, that’s a lot of hours directly attached to your target audience’s brain. According to the Washington Post, there were over 1 billion podcast downloads this past year and monthly podcast listeners have reached 75 million per month. Podcasts allow individual and traditional broadcasters alike to reach younger, and more varied audiences. “People under the age of 30 don’t own radios,” noted WNYC’s CEO and president Laura Walker.
What’s great about podcasts is there are no rules, you can target a niche as specific as you like, the listening habits are so varied and what you determine as ROI is all up to you. If done correctly it’s a forum to consistently share your expertise, build your credibility in a very intimate medium. When you have a direct relationship with your listener you can do really interesting things to build your brand. How to think like an entrepreneur involves a ton of stuff...way too much stuff! Welcome to my brain dump of skills and traits and all kinds of magic that make an entrepreneur successful.
One of the secrets to being successful in business, regardless of whether you want to be an intrapreneur or an entrepreneur, is design thinking. We must empathize with our audience, listen to them, gain insights from them, develop our product roadmaps around their feedback & continuing to rinse & repeat.
In addition to design thinking, we must understand the blueprint of our business, and that is capturing the high level points in the form of a business model canvas. It may seem academic, but it is truly helpful to make sure you understand & can describe your business to others in a succinct fashion. Love it or hate it...it's helpful!
Lastly, we must all understand the buyer of our products and services so we know how to paint a picture around who to talk to when it comes to gaining audience insights, capturing the insights & keeping them fresh in our mind when we go to market.
Is this deck messy and jumping around a bit? Maybe, but I swear there's a method to the madness.
