Description: Gap Batch Operations Team provides production support.The batch jobs in GAP
application landscaperuns on Mainframeand Mid-Range servers. The Batch-Ops team provides 24X7
monitoringand level 1 & 2 support for batch jobs runningon mid-rangeservers and on mainframe
servers.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Monitoring the jobs on ESP console (24*7) and open a ticket in HP Service manager for the failed,
long runningJobs and Overdue Jobs. Providing Support during production releases.
• Looking intothe Job documents and find out therespective owners of the Jobs. Inform the
application support and warm transfer theticket to the appropriatequeue in servicemanager.
Following the instructions given by application teams for fixing theJob. Responsib le for quicker
response to the request given by application team and execute them properly and correctly.
• Provide immediate fixes to the production abends. Solving production abends as per the prose of
the document. Consistency in adhering to theITIL process.
• Monitor batch cycles for daily, weekly, monthly,quarterly,yearly jobs and report statistics to
client.
• Scheduling Jobs in ESP job scheduler as per Client's Requirement such as defining a new job,
modifying an existing job,calendar updates, adding predecessors and successors to theexisting
job and adding file dependencies.
• Ad hoc request to Schedule Particular Jobs.Direct Client support by communicatingwith them.
• To ensure thechanges are managed and propagated throughout a project’s lifecycle and across
environments.
