Description:
The project is about supporting Tableau application for entire GE Oil& Gas business. This mainly
involves in up gradations like minor and maintenance of the Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop.
General Server maintenance, load optimizing & creating users, groups, projects, sites and granting
permissions to the users and involves Installation, configuration and administration of the Tableau Sever.
Responsibilities:
 Performing upgrades like minor and maintenance as per the product bug fixes.
 Performing admin activities like taking periodic backups and cleaning server logs to optimize the
server performance.
 Having knowledge over Tableau command line utilities i.e. Tabcmd and Tabadmin.
 Handling outages at the time of patching activity. Involved in addressing out of space/memory
issues and finding the root cause and permanent fixes.
 Performing admin activities like project management, migration of dashboards, creating schedules
for extract refreshes and subscriptions.
 Experience in performing System, Functionality, User Acceptance, Integration and Regression
testing while up gradations.
