The Allscripts Open App Challenge is a two-phase competition that aims to make it easier for healthcare providers to add new apps to their workflow. In Phase 1, submissions are due in February 2013 with $150,000 in prizes awarded in March. Phase 2 runs from March to July 2013 with $600,000 in prizes awarded in August. The goal is to improve patient outcomes in chronic disease management and value-based care through innovative app integrations with Allscripts platforms.
