Alexander Graham Bell was born in 1847 in Edinburgh, Scotland and died in 1922 in Canada. He was an inventor and scientist best known for inventing the telephone. He was married with four children and attended several universities including University of Edinburgh and University of London. A pivotal moment in his life was in 1876 when he made the first telephone call by saying "Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you" to his assistant over a two mile wire. His inventions like the telephone and aircrafts greatly influenced society by allowing long distance communication and travel.
