This document summarizes the process of testing and planning designs for an album cover. The author tests different images and image editing techniques in Corel PaintShop Pro X4 to prepare the final design. Background images are lightened or darkened and straightened. An image from Google of a person sitting is used and placed over another background image as a test for the final cover design.

1. This is the process of me testing each image and planning to create my final design
for my album cover, I used Corel PaintShop Pro X4 as I believe it has similar features
to PhotoShop CS therefore as an alternative I used PaintShop.

2. This image is taken by me of Myatt's Field Park as I am considering
of using this image as my front cover, however initially I wanted
this image to be used as my back cover, although as I am still
testing and planning the designs I may eventually use it as my
albums back cover.

3. In this process I used the Lighten/Dark brush to change the colour of the actual
image to grey. I feel this will portray the narration of the music video. Therefore I
chose to use dark grey colours.

4. In this section I used the Perspective correction tool, as I thought the
image was not as straight as it should have been therefore this tool
allowed me to straighten the image fairly.

5. In this process I decided to test an image from Google[1] to
use on my background image, however in the final design I
will use an image taken by me of one the actors from my
music video or the singer.

6. I then erased the background of this image as I only wanted to use the image of the
person sitting down on the floor. Also I chose this image because it was already in dark
grey colours and the person was already edited in black as I want this in my image too.

7. Finally I then used the image that I used from Google and placed it as layer on top of
my background image. This process was quite easy and as I have used it as a tester I
am sure I will do this for my final design.
