Albert Einstein was a famous German-born physicist who was born in 1879 in Ulm, Germany. He developed the theories of special and general relativity, which changed the way we understand space and time. Einstein won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 for his explanation of the photoelectric effect, though he was most renowned for his theories of relativity. He died in 1955 in the United States at the age of 76.
