Patel fashion is a retail business which sells women’s cloths. It employs 15 sales staff who work in the shop
and 5 more who workin the offices.There isone shopmanagerwhois incharge of the business. Eachof the
salesstaff hasa specificjobandtheyonlydothisone task.Forexample,some justservecustomersatthe pay
desk, some look after the fitting room, and others look after the clothes on display. Employees keep leaving
and the shop managerregularlyhas to advertise fornew employees.“I do not like havingto spendso much
time interviewingapplicantsforsalesassistantjobs.Iwishthe employeeswouldnotkeepleaving”,saidMarie,
the shopmanager.
