premier national institute devoted to academic
technology support and research activities of growth of
plastic and allied industries in the country. Cipet has 15
centres at various cities. All cipet centre have state of
art infrastructure facilities in the area of design cad cam
cae ,tooling and mould manufacturing plastic

10. Cases Of Brake Failure
• Air brake is so designed that in many cases if any
failure comes into effect then the brake is
automatically applied this reduces the accidents and
other mishaps.
AIR BRAKE IS FAILED IN SOME CASES :-
• Angle cocks are closed
• Air hoses not connected
• Blockage of air hoses
• Closed isolating cock

11. Emergency Air Brake
Most air brake systems have an “emergency” position
on the driver brake valve. This position dumps the
brake pipe air quickly. Although the maximum
amount of air which can be obtained in the brake
cylinder does not vary on a standard air brake
system . The rate of application is faster in
“emergency”.
