Air Arabia was founded in 2003 in Sharjah, UAE by Adel Abdulla with two Airbus A320 jets. It has become one of the largest low-cost carriers in the Middle East through cost-cutting practices and efficient use of the A320 aircraft. The A320 provides comfort, efficiency, and allows for more flights daily. Air Arabia focuses on making flights affordable for average consumers and providing good passenger service. It has received several awards and has expanded to serve over 100 destinations, achieving profits of $135 billion in 2014 with 40 million customers carried.
