AGRICULTURAL DRONE :-
An agricultural drones an unmanned aerial vehicle used in agriculture operation,
mostly in yield optimization and in monitoring crop growth and production.
Agricultural Drones provide information on crop growth stages, crop health and soil
variations
STRUCTURE OF AGRICULTURAL DRONE :-
It has standard red, green and blue(RGB Camera). A standard RGB camera may
normally be called as Natural Color or True Color Camera and will produce similar
image to smartphone camera.Such systems are easily used by Crop Consultants.
1. End of spectrum is collection of multispectral images. Such system involve
sensors beyond RGB Cameras, along with image processing, generates map of
Crop conditions or stress.
2. Maximum range of drone is upto 8km.
3. Flight time is 55 minutes.
A larger drone can have range of roughly 2.5 to 4.5 miles where as toy drones may have
range of 20 to 100 yards. A mid level drone is between 0.25 to 1.5 miles.
Types of Drone :-
Following are the types given below :-
• MultiRotor
• Fixed Winged
• SingleRotor
• Fixed Winged Hybrid VTOL
TYPES OF AGRICULTURAL DRONE
1. MultiRotor Drone :- are the easiest and cheapest option for getting an eye in
the sky. They are perfect for aerial photography. They are called multirotor
because they have more than one motor, more commonly Tricopters,
quadcopters,hexacopters and octacopters.
2. Fixed Wing Drone :- Has one rigid wing that works like aeroplane
This drone type only needs energy to move forward and not to hold themselves in air.
This makes them energy sufficient
3. Single Rotor Drone :- This type is strong and durable. They look similar to actual
helicopters in structure and design. It has just one rotor, which is like one big spinning
wing plus tail rotor to control direction and stability.
4. Fixed Wing Hybrid VTOL :- This type merge the benefits of single rotor and fixed wing
benefits. This drone type has rotor attached to fixed wing . This new category is only few
on market but as technology advances ,this can become popular in coming years.
USES OF DRONE IN AGRICULTURE :-
1. Drones are used for variety of tasks :-
• Crop Mapping
• Fertilizer Spraying
• Inspection for damaged or rotten crops.
2. Increase Farm Crop yield and accurately monitor the crop production.
3. Check and maintain water level
BENEFITS OF DRONE IN AGRICULTURE :-

• Improved Accuracy
• Reduced Inputs
• Early Detection of Problems
• Better decision making
• Increased safety
• Improved worker productivity
• Enhanced security
AGRICULTURE DRONE TECHNOLOGY IN PAKISTAN
The use of drone technology is not a new concept and has been around popular.
Drone technology is constantly evolving and becoming more and more affordable,
making it an attractive option for farmers around the globe. Pakistan mostly import
drone technology and have few drone manufacturing companies. The Government
should take initiatives to promote drone technology in agriculture.

Agriculture drone technology

  • 2. AGRICULTURAL DRONE :- An agricultural drones an unmanned aerial vehicle used in agriculture operation, mostly in yield optimization and in monitoring crop growth and production. Agricultural Drones provide information on crop growth stages, crop health and soil variations
  • 3. STRUCTURE OF AGRICULTURAL DRONE :- It has standard red, green and blue(RGB Camera). A standard RGB camera may normally be called as Natural Color or True Color Camera and will produce similar image to smartphone camera.Such systems are easily used by Crop Consultants. 1. End of spectrum is collection of multispectral images. Such system involve sensors beyond RGB Cameras, along with image processing, generates map of Crop conditions or stress. 2. Maximum range of drone is upto 8km. 3. Flight time is 55 minutes.
  • 4. A larger drone can have range of roughly 2.5 to 4.5 miles where as toy drones may have range of 20 to 100 yards. A mid level drone is between 0.25 to 1.5 miles. Types of Drone :- Following are the types given below :- • MultiRotor • Fixed Winged • SingleRotor • Fixed Winged Hybrid VTOL
  • 5. TYPES OF AGRICULTURAL DRONE 1. MultiRotor Drone :- are the easiest and cheapest option for getting an eye in the sky. They are perfect for aerial photography. They are called multirotor because they have more than one motor, more commonly Tricopters, quadcopters,hexacopters and octacopters.
  • 6. 2. Fixed Wing Drone :- Has one rigid wing that works like aeroplane This drone type only needs energy to move forward and not to hold themselves in air. This makes them energy sufficient 3. Single Rotor Drone :- This type is strong and durable. They look similar to actual helicopters in structure and design. It has just one rotor, which is like one big spinning wing plus tail rotor to control direction and stability. 4. Fixed Wing Hybrid VTOL :- This type merge the benefits of single rotor and fixed wing benefits. This drone type has rotor attached to fixed wing . This new category is only few on market but as technology advances ,this can become popular in coming years.
  • 7. USES OF DRONE IN AGRICULTURE :- 1. Drones are used for variety of tasks :- • Crop Mapping • Fertilizer Spraying • Inspection for damaged or rotten crops. 2. Increase Farm Crop yield and accurately monitor the crop production. 3. Check and maintain water level
  • 8. BENEFITS OF DRONE IN AGRICULTURE :- • Increased Efficiency • Improved Accuracy • Reduced Inputs • Early Detection of Problems • Better decision making • Increased safety • Improved worker productivity • Enhanced security
  • 9. AGRICULTURE DRONE TECHNOLOGY IN PAKISTAN The use of drone technology is not a new concept and has been around popular. Drone technology is constantly evolving and becoming more and more affordable, making it an attractive option for farmers around the globe. Pakistan mostly import drone technology and have few drone manufacturing companies. The Government should take initiatives to promote drone technology in agriculture.
