2. AGNO RIVER BASIN DEVELOPMENT
The Agno River Basin (ARB) is
located along western Luzon,
draining into Lingayen Bay.
It spans 4 regions, covering nine
provinces, 73 municipalities,
and a total of 1,232 barangays.
It is the 5th
largest river basin
in the Philippines, straddling
the provinces of Benguet,
Ifugao, Mountain Province,
Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya,
Pangasinan, Tarlac, Zambales,
and Pampanga.

3. AGNO RIVER BASIN DEVELOPMENT
The ARB is one of the 18 major and priority river
basins of the country.
In 2015, the Integrated River Basin Master Plan
for the Agno River has been updated to the
Climate-Responsive Integrated River Basin Master
Plan incorporating the implications of the new
climate normals in addressing the concerns on:
1. Water Resources Management;
2. Watershed Management;
3. Disaster Risk Reduction and Management;
4. Wetland Management;
5. Economic Development; and
6. Policy and Institutional Mechanisms.
