This presentation has some information dealing with the recent school budget cuts. We feel the need to bring up the issue in hopes to help spread it so we can stop some of the school budget cuts!

4. Grab Attention -Grabbed attention with Facebook page. -Many peers would agree with us. -They can spread the awareness about our concern. -Cause a ripple-effect.

5. Engage -At first no one was “Liking” our Facebook page. -As a team we changed this by having our Facebookstatus’ linked to the page. -Short time passed and we were getting “likes” like crazy. -We found information and posted it to our page in status form so everyone would be able to see it.

8. These made it easier for us as well as people willing to support us.

10. Outcomes and Legacy -With time we want our page to not let government spending be directed away from it is needed, in our children. -We hope budgets become evenly distributed so that every school has such programs forever. -Such programs help kids out psychologically and physically. -Such programs are very important.

11. Summary -Kids are even feeling the economic problems by losing their art, music and PE classes. -The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 is causing these budget cuts. -The new standards that need to be reached are being reached by getting ride of PE, music, and art.

12. Summary Continued -10 million kids in the US aged 6-19 are overweight, without PE those numbers are going to go way up. -PE in schools helps kids want to be active when their not in school. -Art and music also have an effect on kids, they’ve been know to help kids do better in English and correlates to high self-esteem.
