Acupressure-III
How To Perform Acupressure-I
 Acupressure can be applied by the thumbs,
fingers, or wooden or plastic devices as per the
needs and facility available.
 The applied pressure has to be medium in
intensity. While doing this, if unbearable pain is
experienced on any point, it must be understood
that the organ related to the pressure point is
diseased or affected.
 The pressure is applied by resting the thumb or
finger on the pressure point and applying
pressure in a clockwise circular motion.
How To Perform Acupressure-II
 When pressure is applied on the points in the
hands, feet or other parts of the body the
collected toxins and chemical crystals start
moving slowly from there and get mixed in
the blood and are either removed through
perspiration or by the kidneys. Hence, after
acupressure is done it is important to apply
pressure on points related to the kidneys for
a minute or two.
How To Perform Acupressure-III
 As these crystals start moving, the effect
of the disease starts lessening and there
is less pain when these points are
subsequently pressed. If this routine is
followed for some days, the disease will
be cured with either no pain or very
slight pain experienced on these points.
How To Perform Acupressure-IV
 One might experience extreme pain
and even swelling on the affected
pressure point initially when you start
this therapy. Do not get disheartened or
scared. This is normal. Hot fomentation
with water to which salt has been
added will relieve the swelling and
pain.
Acupressure Devices-Jimmy
 A jimmy helps to search for
the curative point of
correspondence & for their
stimulation with help of
acupressure.
 After correct finding the
points with the jimmy.
 They should be massaged
strongly enough to provide
the affected area with
necessary amount of
curative waves
Acupressure Magic Ball
 Great for massaging your
palms, feet, ankle, shank,
arms, neck and back, etc.
 A simple massage tool
which can help relieve
muscular tension, promote
blood circulation.
 With a diameter of 7 cm, it
can be put in the pocket
when not used.
Sujok Ring
 By using the Sujok ring, your finger
and hands will encounter a tingling
sensation.
 This sensation will go through your
entire body as blood circulation is
improved.
 The Sujok ring helps increase
energy, and according to Ancient
Asian science assists in digestion
and overall good health
Acupressure Magnetic Foot Massage
Mat
 Acupressure uses reflexology to cure all
types of health problems just by walking.
 The New Acupressure Magnetic Power
Mat acts as a ‘holistic healer’ and focuses
on the 'reflex points' on the soles of the
feet.
 It provides comfort and relaxation by
inducing pressure that massages your
foot when you walk on it.
 These mats promote mental peace, which
in turn results in a healthy body.
 Our Power Mats are fitted with strong
magnets, which help in improving blood
circulation.

No. 1- Brain
 The human brain is the central
organ of the human nervous
system, and with the spinal cord
makes up the central nervous
system.
 The brain consists of the
cerebrum, the brainstem and the
cerebellum.
 It controls most of the activities
of the body, processing,
integrating, and coordinating
the information it receives from
the sense organs, and making
decisions as to the instructions
sent to the rest of the body.
 The brain is contained in, and
protected by, the skull bones of
the head.
Acupressure Points
No.2- Mental nerve
 Mental nerve is a
sensory nerve whic
h provides
sensation to the
front of the chin
and lower lip as
well as the labial
gingivae of the
mandibular
anterior teeth and
the premolars.
.
Acupressure Points
No. 3 - Pituitary Gland
 The pituitary gland is a
small pea-sized gland that
plays a major role in
regulating vital body
functions and general
wellbeing.
 It is referred to as the
body's 'master gland'
because it controls the
activity of most other
hormone-secreting glands
Acupressure Points
No.4- Pineal Gland
 Pineal gland, also called
conarium, epiphysis
cerebri, pineal organ, or
pineal body, endocrine
gland found in vertebrates
that is the source of
melatonin, a hormone
derived from tryptophan
that plays a central role in
the regulation of circadian
rhythm (the roughly 24-
hour cycle of biological
activities associated with
natural periods of light
and darkness).
Acupressure Points
No. 5 - Head Nerve
 The nerves of the head
include the sympathetic
and parasympathetic
innervation to the head and
neck, as well as the three
branches of the trigeminal
nerve:
 ophthalmic, maxillary and
mandibular.
NO. 6
Throat
 The throat is a part of the body.
The throat is connected to the
mouth at the top and to the
stomach at the bottom.
 The throat is where food travels
after being eaten and chewed
by the teeth.
 Fluid drinks, such as water, also
travel through the throat to the
stomach and on to the rest of
the body.
Acupressure Points
NO. 7 Neck
 The neck is the part of the body on many
vertebrates that connects the head with
the torso and provides the mobility and
movements of the head.
 The structures of the human neck are
anatomically grouped into four
compartments; vertebral, visceral and
two vascular compartments.
 Within these compartments, the neck
houses the cervical vertebrae and
cervical part of the spinal cord, upper
parts of the respiratory and digestive
tracts, endocrine glands, nerves, arteries
and veins.
 Muscles of the neck are described
separately from the compartments.
 They bound the neck triangles
Acupressure Points
No.8Thyroid/Para Thyroid
 Four small masses of epithelial
tissue are embedded in the
connective tissue capsule on
the posterior surface of the
thyroid glands.
 These are parathyroid glands,
and they secrete parathyroid
hormone or parathormone.
 Parathyroid hormone is the
most important regulator of
blood calcium levels.
Acupressure Points
No. 9 Spine
 The spine is an interconnected
complex of bones, nerves,
muscles, tendons, and ligaments,
any of which can become
damaged and cause pain,
neurological symptoms, or loss of
mobility. The vertebrae are the
bony building blocks of the spine
Acupressure Points
No. 10 - Piles
 Piles (hemorrhoids) are
enlarged blood vessels that
you can get inside or around
your anus.
 They’re usually small, round,
discolored lumps.
 You might be able to feel them
on your anus or hanging down
from your anal canal.
 Your anal canal is the short,
muscular tube with blood
vessels that connects your
rectum (back passage) with
your anus.
Acupressure Points
No. 11 - Prostate Gland
 The prostate is a walnut-
sized gland located between
the bladder and the penis.
 The prostate is just in front of
the rectum. The urethra runs
through the center of the
prostate, from the bladder to
the penis, letting urine flow
out of the body.
Acupressure Points
NO.12- Penis
 The penis is the male sex
organ, reaching its full
size during puberty.
 In addition to its sexual
function, the penis acts
as a conduit for urine to
leave the body
Acupressure Points
No. 13 - Vagina
 The vagina is an elastic,
muscular canal with a soft,
flexible lining that
provides lubrication and
sensation.
 The vagina connects the
uterus to the outside
world.
 The vulva and labia form
the entrance, and the
cervix of the uterus
protrudes into the vagina,
forming the interior end.
Acupressure Points
No. 14 - Uterus
 The uterus is a hollow
muscular organ located
in the female pelvis
between the bladder
and rectum.
 The ovaries produce the
eggs that travel through
the fallopian tubes.
 Once the egg has left the
ovary it can be fertilized
and implant itself in the
lining of the uterus.
Acupressure Points
No. 15 - Testicles
 Testicle or testis (plural testes) is
the male reproductive gland or
gonad in all animals, including
humans.
 The functions of the testes are to
produce both sperm and
androgens, primarily testosterone.
 Testosterone release is controlled
by the anterior pituitary
luteinizing hormone; whereas
sperm production is controlled
both by the anterior pituitary
follicle-stimulating hormone and
gonadal testosterone.
Acupressure Points
No. 15 - Ovaries
 Ovaries are the female
gonads — the primary female
reproductive organs.
 These glands have three
important functions: they
secrete hormones, they
protect the eggs a female is
born with and they release
eggs for possible fertilization.
Acupressure Points
No. 16 - Lymph Glands
 They behave like mechanical filters. The
job of these mechanical filters is to kill
and eliminate microbes present in the
blood stream.
 The white blood cells (WBCs) or
lymphocytes are produced by the lymph
nodes.
 On the other hand, WBCs kill bacteria
and viruses entering the body.
 Lymph nodes are very small organs,
measuring only about 1-2 cm in size.
 They form a network throughout the
body.
 There are about 500 lymph nodes spread
across various organs of the human
body.
Acupressure Points
No. 17 - Hip & Knee
 The hip joint is made up of two
bones: the pelvis and the femur (the
thighbone).
 It is the largest ball-and-socket joint
in your body and allows for a lot of
movement such as walking,
running, and climbing.
 The joint is also composed of
several powerful muscles that
attach to these bones.
Acupressure Points
No. 17 - Hip & Knee
 The knee is a weight-bearing joint
that functions to allow movement of
the leg and is critical to walking
normally.
 The knee joint has three
compartments: the inner (medial)
compartment, the outer (lateral)
compartment and the patella femoral,
where the kneecap joins the femur.
 The thigh bone (femur) meets the
large shinbone (tibia) forming the
main knee joint.
Acupressure Points
No. 18 - Bladder
 The urinary bladder is a muscular
sac in the pelvis, just above and
behind the pubic bone.
 When empty, the bladder is about
the size and shape of a pear.
 Urine is made in the kidneys and
travels down two tubes called
ureters to the bladder.
 The bladder is lined by layers of
muscle tissue that stretch to hold
urine.
Acupressure Points
No. 19 - Intestine
 The intestines are a long,
continuous tube running from the
stomach to the anus.
 Most absorption of nutrients and
water happen in the intestines.
 The intestines include the
small intestine, large intestine,
and rectum.
 The small intestine (small bowel)
is about 20 feet long and about
an inch in diameter.
Acupressure Points
No.20 - Colon
 Colon: The long, coiled, tube-
like organ that removes water
from digested food.
 The remaining material, solid
waste called stool, moves
through the colon to the
rectum and leaves the body
through the anus.
 Also known as large bowel
and large intestine.
Acupressure Points
No. 21 - Appendix (Front Side)
 The appendix is a small, pouch-
like sac of tissue that is located
in the first part of the colon
(cecum) in the lower- right
abdomen.
 Lymphatic tissue in
the appendix aids in immune
function.
 The official name of
the appendix is
veriform appendix, which
means "worm-like appendage.“
 The appendix harbors bacteria
Acupressure Points
No. 21 - Allergy (Back)
 Allergies, also known as allergic diseases, are a
number of conditions caused by hypersensitivity of
the immune system to typically harmless substances
in the environment.
 These diseases include hay fever, food allergies,
atopic dermatitis, allergic asthma, and anaphylaxis.
 Symptoms may include red eyes, an itchy rash,
sneezing, a runny nose, shortness of breath, or
swelling.
 Food intolerances and food poisoning are separate
conditions.
Acupressure Points
No. 22 - Gall Bladder
 The gallbladder is a small
pouch that sits just under the
liver.
 The gallbladder stores bile
produced by the liver.
 After meals, the gallbladder is
empty and flat, like a deflated
balloon.
 Before a meal, the gallbladder
may be full of bile and about
the size of a small pear.
Acupressure Points
No. 23 - Liver
 The liver is an organ only found
in vertebrates which detoxifies
various metabolites, synthesizes
proteins and produces bio -
chemicals necessary for digestion
and growth.
 In humans, it is located in the
right upper quadrant of the
abdomen, below the diaphragm.
Acupressure Points
No.24 - Shoulder
 The shoulder is one of the largest
and most complex joints in the
body.
 The shoulder joint is formed
where the humerus (upper arm
bone) fits into the scapula
(shoulder blade), like a ball and
socket.
 Other important bones in
the shoulder include: The
acromion is a bony projection off
the scapula
Acupressure Points
No.25 - Pancreas
 The pancreas is an organ
located in the abdomen. It
plays an essential role in
converting the food we eat
into fuel for the body's cells.
 The pancreas has two main
functions: an exocrine
function that helps in
digestion and an endocrine
function that regulates blood
sugar
Acupressure Points
No.26 - Kidney
 Each kidney is about 4 or 5
inches long, roughly the size of
a large fist.
 The kidneys' job is to filter your
blood.
 They remove wastes, control
the body's fluid balance, and
keep the right levels of
electrolytes.
 All of the blood in your body
passes through them several
times a day
Acupressure Points
No.27 - Stomach
 The stomach is a muscular
organ located on the left side
of the upper abdomen.
 The stomach receives food
from the esophagus.
 As food reaches the end of the
esophagus, it enters the
stomach through a muscular
valve called the lower
esophageal sphincter.
 The stomach secretes acid and
enzymes that digest food.
Acupressure Points
No. 28 - Adrenal Gland
 The adrenal glands (also
known as suprarenal
glands) are endocrine glands
that produce a variety of
hormones including
adrenaline and the steroids
aldosterone and cortisol.
They are found above the
kidneys.
 Each gland has an outer
cortex which produces
steroid hormones and an
inner medulla
Acupressure Points
No. 29 - Solar Plexus
 The solar plexus — also
called the celiac plexus —
is a complex system of
radiating nerves and
ganglia.
 It's found in the pit of the
stomach in front of the
aorta. It's part of the
sympathetic nervous
system.
 It plays an important role
in the functioning of the
stomach, kidneys, liver,
and adrenal glands.
Acupressure Points
No.30 Lungs
 The lungs are a pair of
spongy, air-filled organs
located on either side of the
chest (thorax).
 The trachea (windpipe)
conducts inhaled air into the
lungs through its tubular
branches, called bronchi
Acupressure Points
No.31 - Ears
 The ear is the organ of
hearing and, in mammals,
balance.
 In mammals, the ear is
usually described as having
three parts—the outer ear, the
middle ear and the inner ear.
 The outer ear consists of the
pinna and the ear canal.
Acupressure Points
No.32 - Energy
 The human body carries out its
main functions by consuming
food and turning it into usable
energy.
 Immediate energy is supplied to
the body in the form of
adenosine triphosphate (ATP).
Since ATP is the primary source
of energy for every body
function, other stored energy is
used to replenish ATP
Acupressure Points
No.33 - Nerve & Ear
 Sensory innervation to the
external ear is supplied by
both cranial and spinal
nerves.
 Branches of the trigeminal,
facial, and vagus nerves (CN
V, VII, X) are the cranial
nerve components, while
the lesser occipital (C2, C3)
and greater auricular (C2,
C3) nerves are the spinal
nerve components involved.
Acupressure Points
No.34 - Cold & Nerves
 The sinuses are a connected
system of hollow cavities in
the skull.
 The largest sinus cavities
are about an inch across.
Others are much smaller.
 Your cheekbones hold your
maxillary sinuses (the
largest).
 The low-center of your
forehead is where your
frontal sinuses are located.
Acupressure Points
No.35 - Eyes
 The human eye is an organ that reacts to light
and allows vision.
 Rod and cone cells in the retina allow conscious
light perception and vision including color
differentiation and the perception of depth.
 The human eye can differentiate between about
10 million colors and is possibly capable of
detecting a single photon.
 The eye is part of the sensory nervous system.
 Similar to the eyes of other mammals, the
human eye's non-image-forming photosensitive
ganglion cells in the retina receive light signals
which affect adjustment of the size of the pupil,
regulation and suppression of the hormone
melatonin and entrainment of the body clock.
Acupressure Points
No.36 - Heart
 The heart is a muscular organ
in most animals, which pumps
blood through the blood
vessels of the circulatory
system.
 Blood provides the body with
oxygen and nutrients, as well
as assisting in the removal of
metabolic wastes.
 In humans, the heart is
located between the lungs, in
the middle compartment of
the chest.
Acupressure Points
No.37 - Spleen
 The spleen is the largest
organ in the lymphatic
system.
 It is an important organ
for keeping bodily fluids
balanced, but it is possible
to live without it.
Acupressure Points
No.38 - Thymus
 The thymus gland is a small organ
behind the breastbone that plays an
important function both in the
immune system and endocrine
system.
 Though the thymus begins to
atrophy (decay) during puberty, its
effect in "training" T lymphocytes
to fight infections and even cancer
lasts for a lifetime
Acupressure Points
No.39 - Optic Nerve
 The optic nerve is located in the
back of the eye.
 It is also called the second
cranial nerve or cranial nerve II.
 It is the second of several pairs
of cranial nerves.
 The job of the optic nerve is to
transfer visual information from
the retina to the vision centers
of the brain via electrical
impulses

Acupressure iii- Make Life Better

  • 1. Dr.Kamaljit Singh M.D.(A..M), PhD MWSAM (USA), FRHS (L0ndon) Managing Director Bhima Care Foundation Thailand
  • 3. How To Perform Acupressure-I  Acupressure can be applied by the thumbs, fingers, or wooden or plastic devices as per the needs and facility available.  The applied pressure has to be medium in intensity. While doing this, if unbearable pain is experienced on any point, it must be understood that the organ related to the pressure point is diseased or affected.  The pressure is applied by resting the thumb or finger on the pressure point and applying pressure in a clockwise circular motion.
  • 4. How To Perform Acupressure-II  When pressure is applied on the points in the hands, feet or other parts of the body the collected toxins and chemical crystals start moving slowly from there and get mixed in the blood and are either removed through perspiration or by the kidneys. Hence, after acupressure is done it is important to apply pressure on points related to the kidneys for a minute or two.
  • 5. How To Perform Acupressure-III  As these crystals start moving, the effect of the disease starts lessening and there is less pain when these points are subsequently pressed. If this routine is followed for some days, the disease will be cured with either no pain or very slight pain experienced on these points.
  • 6. How To Perform Acupressure-IV  One might experience extreme pain and even swelling on the affected pressure point initially when you start this therapy. Do not get disheartened or scared. This is normal. Hot fomentation with water to which salt has been added will relieve the swelling and pain.
  • 7. Acupressure Devices-Jimmy  A jimmy helps to search for the curative point of correspondence & for their stimulation with help of acupressure.  After correct finding the points with the jimmy.  They should be massaged strongly enough to provide the affected area with necessary amount of curative waves
  • 8. Acupressure Magic Ball  Great for massaging your palms, feet, ankle, shank, arms, neck and back, etc.  A simple massage tool which can help relieve muscular tension, promote blood circulation.  With a diameter of 7 cm, it can be put in the pocket when not used.
  • 9. Sujok Ring  By using the Sujok ring, your finger and hands will encounter a tingling sensation.  This sensation will go through your entire body as blood circulation is improved.  The Sujok ring helps increase energy, and according to Ancient Asian science assists in digestion and overall good health
  • 10. Acupressure Magnetic Foot Massage Mat  Acupressure uses reflexology to cure all types of health problems just by walking.  The New Acupressure Magnetic Power Mat acts as a ‘holistic healer’ and focuses on the 'reflex points' on the soles of the feet.  It provides comfort and relaxation by inducing pressure that massages your foot when you walk on it.  These mats promote mental peace, which in turn results in a healthy body.  Our Power Mats are fitted with strong magnets, which help in improving blood circulation.

  • 18. Acupressure Points No. 1- Brain  The human brain is the central organ of the human nervous system, and with the spinal cord makes up the central nervous system.  The brain consists of the cerebrum, the brainstem and the cerebellum.  It controls most of the activities of the body, processing, integrating, and coordinating the information it receives from the sense organs, and making decisions as to the instructions sent to the rest of the body.  The brain is contained in, and protected by, the skull bones of the head.
  • 19. Acupressure Points No.2- Mental nerve  Mental nerve is a sensory nerve whic h provides sensation to the front of the chin and lower lip as well as the labial gingivae of the mandibular anterior teeth and the premolars. .
  • 20. Acupressure Points No. 3 - Pituitary Gland  The pituitary gland is a small pea-sized gland that plays a major role in regulating vital body functions and general wellbeing.  It is referred to as the body's 'master gland' because it controls the activity of most other hormone-secreting glands
  • 21. Acupressure Points No.4- Pineal Gland  Pineal gland, also called conarium, epiphysis cerebri, pineal organ, or pineal body, endocrine gland found in vertebrates that is the source of melatonin, a hormone derived from tryptophan that plays a central role in the regulation of circadian rhythm (the roughly 24- hour cycle of biological activities associated with natural periods of light and darkness).
  • 22. Acupressure Points No. 5 - Head Nerve  The nerves of the head include the sympathetic and parasympathetic innervation to the head and neck, as well as the three branches of the trigeminal nerve:  ophthalmic, maxillary and mandibular.
  • 23. NO. 6 Throat  The throat is a part of the body. The throat is connected to the mouth at the top and to the stomach at the bottom.  The throat is where food travels after being eaten and chewed by the teeth.  Fluid drinks, such as water, also travel through the throat to the stomach and on to the rest of the body.
  • 24. Acupressure Points NO. 7 Neck  The neck is the part of the body on many vertebrates that connects the head with the torso and provides the mobility and movements of the head.  The structures of the human neck are anatomically grouped into four compartments; vertebral, visceral and two vascular compartments.  Within these compartments, the neck houses the cervical vertebrae and cervical part of the spinal cord, upper parts of the respiratory and digestive tracts, endocrine glands, nerves, arteries and veins.  Muscles of the neck are described separately from the compartments.  They bound the neck triangles
  • 25. Acupressure Points No.8Thyroid/Para Thyroid  Four small masses of epithelial tissue are embedded in the connective tissue capsule on the posterior surface of the thyroid glands.  These are parathyroid glands, and they secrete parathyroid hormone or parathormone.  Parathyroid hormone is the most important regulator of blood calcium levels.
  • 26. Acupressure Points No. 9 Spine  The spine is an interconnected complex of bones, nerves, muscles, tendons, and ligaments, any of which can become damaged and cause pain, neurological symptoms, or loss of mobility. The vertebrae are the bony building blocks of the spine
  • 27. Acupressure Points No. 10 - Piles  Piles (hemorrhoids) are enlarged blood vessels that you can get inside or around your anus.  They’re usually small, round, discolored lumps.  You might be able to feel them on your anus or hanging down from your anal canal.  Your anal canal is the short, muscular tube with blood vessels that connects your rectum (back passage) with your anus.
  • 28. Acupressure Points No. 11 - Prostate Gland  The prostate is a walnut- sized gland located between the bladder and the penis.  The prostate is just in front of the rectum. The urethra runs through the center of the prostate, from the bladder to the penis, letting urine flow out of the body.
  • 29. Acupressure Points NO.12- Penis  The penis is the male sex organ, reaching its full size during puberty.  In addition to its sexual function, the penis acts as a conduit for urine to leave the body
  • 30. Acupressure Points No. 13 - Vagina  The vagina is an elastic, muscular canal with a soft, flexible lining that provides lubrication and sensation.  The vagina connects the uterus to the outside world.  The vulva and labia form the entrance, and the cervix of the uterus protrudes into the vagina, forming the interior end.
  • 31. Acupressure Points No. 14 - Uterus  The uterus is a hollow muscular organ located in the female pelvis between the bladder and rectum.  The ovaries produce the eggs that travel through the fallopian tubes.  Once the egg has left the ovary it can be fertilized and implant itself in the lining of the uterus.
  • 32. Acupressure Points No. 15 - Testicles  Testicle or testis (plural testes) is the male reproductive gland or gonad in all animals, including humans.  The functions of the testes are to produce both sperm and androgens, primarily testosterone.  Testosterone release is controlled by the anterior pituitary luteinizing hormone; whereas sperm production is controlled both by the anterior pituitary follicle-stimulating hormone and gonadal testosterone.
  • 33. Acupressure Points No. 15 - Ovaries  Ovaries are the female gonads — the primary female reproductive organs.  These glands have three important functions: they secrete hormones, they protect the eggs a female is born with and they release eggs for possible fertilization.
  • 34. Acupressure Points No. 16 - Lymph Glands  They behave like mechanical filters. The job of these mechanical filters is to kill and eliminate microbes present in the blood stream.  The white blood cells (WBCs) or lymphocytes are produced by the lymph nodes.  On the other hand, WBCs kill bacteria and viruses entering the body.  Lymph nodes are very small organs, measuring only about 1-2 cm in size.  They form a network throughout the body.  There are about 500 lymph nodes spread across various organs of the human body.
  • 35. Acupressure Points No. 17 - Hip & Knee  The hip joint is made up of two bones: the pelvis and the femur (the thighbone).  It is the largest ball-and-socket joint in your body and allows for a lot of movement such as walking, running, and climbing.  The joint is also composed of several powerful muscles that attach to these bones.
  • 36. Acupressure Points No. 17 - Hip & Knee  The knee is a weight-bearing joint that functions to allow movement of the leg and is critical to walking normally.  The knee joint has three compartments: the inner (medial) compartment, the outer (lateral) compartment and the patella femoral, where the kneecap joins the femur.  The thigh bone (femur) meets the large shinbone (tibia) forming the main knee joint.
  • 37. Acupressure Points No. 18 - Bladder  The urinary bladder is a muscular sac in the pelvis, just above and behind the pubic bone.  When empty, the bladder is about the size and shape of a pear.  Urine is made in the kidneys and travels down two tubes called ureters to the bladder.  The bladder is lined by layers of muscle tissue that stretch to hold urine.
  • 38. Acupressure Points No. 19 - Intestine  The intestines are a long, continuous tube running from the stomach to the anus.  Most absorption of nutrients and water happen in the intestines.  The intestines include the small intestine, large intestine, and rectum.  The small intestine (small bowel) is about 20 feet long and about an inch in diameter.
  • 39. Acupressure Points No.20 - Colon  Colon: The long, coiled, tube- like organ that removes water from digested food.  The remaining material, solid waste called stool, moves through the colon to the rectum and leaves the body through the anus.  Also known as large bowel and large intestine.
  • 40. Acupressure Points No. 21 - Appendix (Front Side)  The appendix is a small, pouch- like sac of tissue that is located in the first part of the colon (cecum) in the lower- right abdomen.  Lymphatic tissue in the appendix aids in immune function.  The official name of the appendix is veriform appendix, which means "worm-like appendage.“  The appendix harbors bacteria
  • 41. Acupressure Points No. 21 - Allergy (Back)  Allergies, also known as allergic diseases, are a number of conditions caused by hypersensitivity of the immune system to typically harmless substances in the environment.  These diseases include hay fever, food allergies, atopic dermatitis, allergic asthma, and anaphylaxis.  Symptoms may include red eyes, an itchy rash, sneezing, a runny nose, shortness of breath, or swelling.  Food intolerances and food poisoning are separate conditions.
  • 42. Acupressure Points No. 22 - Gall Bladder  The gallbladder is a small pouch that sits just under the liver.  The gallbladder stores bile produced by the liver.  After meals, the gallbladder is empty and flat, like a deflated balloon.  Before a meal, the gallbladder may be full of bile and about the size of a small pear.
  • 43. Acupressure Points No. 23 - Liver  The liver is an organ only found in vertebrates which detoxifies various metabolites, synthesizes proteins and produces bio - chemicals necessary for digestion and growth.  In humans, it is located in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, below the diaphragm.
  • 44. Acupressure Points No.24 - Shoulder  The shoulder is one of the largest and most complex joints in the body.  The shoulder joint is formed where the humerus (upper arm bone) fits into the scapula (shoulder blade), like a ball and socket.  Other important bones in the shoulder include: The acromion is a bony projection off the scapula
  • 45. Acupressure Points No.25 - Pancreas  The pancreas is an organ located in the abdomen. It plays an essential role in converting the food we eat into fuel for the body's cells.  The pancreas has two main functions: an exocrine function that helps in digestion and an endocrine function that regulates blood sugar
  • 46. Acupressure Points No.26 - Kidney  Each kidney is about 4 or 5 inches long, roughly the size of a large fist.  The kidneys' job is to filter your blood.  They remove wastes, control the body's fluid balance, and keep the right levels of electrolytes.  All of the blood in your body passes through them several times a day
  • 47. Acupressure Points No.27 - Stomach  The stomach is a muscular organ located on the left side of the upper abdomen.  The stomach receives food from the esophagus.  As food reaches the end of the esophagus, it enters the stomach through a muscular valve called the lower esophageal sphincter.  The stomach secretes acid and enzymes that digest food.
  • 48. Acupressure Points No. 28 - Adrenal Gland  The adrenal glands (also known as suprarenal glands) are endocrine glands that produce a variety of hormones including adrenaline and the steroids aldosterone and cortisol. They are found above the kidneys.  Each gland has an outer cortex which produces steroid hormones and an inner medulla
  • 49. Acupressure Points No. 29 - Solar Plexus  The solar plexus — also called the celiac plexus — is a complex system of radiating nerves and ganglia.  It's found in the pit of the stomach in front of the aorta. It's part of the sympathetic nervous system.  It plays an important role in the functioning of the stomach, kidneys, liver, and adrenal glands.
  • 50. Acupressure Points No.30 Lungs  The lungs are a pair of spongy, air-filled organs located on either side of the chest (thorax).  The trachea (windpipe) conducts inhaled air into the lungs through its tubular branches, called bronchi
  • 51. Acupressure Points No.31 - Ears  The ear is the organ of hearing and, in mammals, balance.  In mammals, the ear is usually described as having three parts—the outer ear, the middle ear and the inner ear.  The outer ear consists of the pinna and the ear canal.
  • 52. Acupressure Points No.32 - Energy  The human body carries out its main functions by consuming food and turning it into usable energy.  Immediate energy is supplied to the body in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Since ATP is the primary source of energy for every body function, other stored energy is used to replenish ATP
  • 53. Acupressure Points No.33 - Nerve & Ear  Sensory innervation to the external ear is supplied by both cranial and spinal nerves.  Branches of the trigeminal, facial, and vagus nerves (CN V, VII, X) are the cranial nerve components, while the lesser occipital (C2, C3) and greater auricular (C2, C3) nerves are the spinal nerve components involved.
  • 54. Acupressure Points No.34 - Cold & Nerves  The sinuses are a connected system of hollow cavities in the skull.  The largest sinus cavities are about an inch across. Others are much smaller.  Your cheekbones hold your maxillary sinuses (the largest).  The low-center of your forehead is where your frontal sinuses are located.
  • 55. Acupressure Points No.35 - Eyes  The human eye is an organ that reacts to light and allows vision.  Rod and cone cells in the retina allow conscious light perception and vision including color differentiation and the perception of depth.  The human eye can differentiate between about 10 million colors and is possibly capable of detecting a single photon.  The eye is part of the sensory nervous system.  Similar to the eyes of other mammals, the human eye's non-image-forming photosensitive ganglion cells in the retina receive light signals which affect adjustment of the size of the pupil, regulation and suppression of the hormone melatonin and entrainment of the body clock.
  • 56. Acupressure Points No.36 - Heart  The heart is a muscular organ in most animals, which pumps blood through the blood vessels of the circulatory system.  Blood provides the body with oxygen and nutrients, as well as assisting in the removal of metabolic wastes.  In humans, the heart is located between the lungs, in the middle compartment of the chest.
  • 57. Acupressure Points No.37 - Spleen  The spleen is the largest organ in the lymphatic system.  It is an important organ for keeping bodily fluids balanced, but it is possible to live without it.
  • 58.
