Libraries allow reuse of components and functions across report designs. Components can be published to a library file and then included in other designs through referencing. To create a library, components are first designed and then published to a .rol file. Libraries can be included in designs through the Library Organizer and their components placed through subclassing or referencing.

 Can include one or more libraries in a report design.
 can re-use the components or Actuate Basic functions
from the library in the report design.
 Library can be any of the following:-
 Component library (.rol).
 Actuate Basic source file (.bas).
 Report design (.rod).

3. Creating a component library
 The first step in creating a component library is to
design the components you want to place in it.
 can put any type of component in a component library,
including data sources, connections, controls, and
frames.
 After you design one or more components, publish them
in a library file (.rol).

 From File -> New -> Component Library.
 Alternatively, Open a Design file where the library to be
included.
 Choose Tools->Library Organizer.
 Select New Button.

 To publish a component means to place it in a
component library for reuse.
 Before publishing a component, the definition is saved
in the report design file (.rod).
 After publishing the component, the definition is saved
in the library and the original design file will contain a
reference or a link to a component.

 Open the target design (.rod or .rol), or create a new

 Choose tools->Library Organizer.
 A dialog will list out the included the library.
 To include more libraries, Choose More button.
