The cataloguing module in Koha allows librarians to add new bibliographic records through data entry or copy cataloguing. It provides frameworks to catalog different materials like books, e-resources, serials, and periodicals. The book framework includes fields like title, author, ISBN, and subject headings to catalog books. Librarians can save records, add barcodes/accession numbers, and create duplicate or multiple copies of items. The module allows viewing catalogued items in normal or MARC format.

2. introduction of Koha
The name of the ILS become Koha from a term called “Māori” which means a “gift” or
“donation”. The ILS is developed at a modern platform and is a web- based solution for the libraries.
Koha uses SQL database.

3. To enter Koha ILMS and to use Koha modules, librarian of particular library
which is accessing Koha, has to login to Koha .

5. Cataloguing Module
The cataloguing module of Koha
allows adding new bibliographic
record to Koha. These records can
be added to Koha through data
entry or copy cataloguing. New
records creates a black template
for entering the tags and it
requires choosing the framework
which defines the base of the
record. It also allows adding a new
records through Z39.50 to import
the record by clicking the caret.

6. This tab use to MARC
management: The
cataloguing module
provides several
frameworks which help in
cataloguing for books,
monographs, e-resources,
serials, periodicals, etc.
Z39.50 option allows
searching with various
fields like Title, Author,
ISBN, ISSN, LC Call Number,
Subject Heading, Control
Number, Dewey number,
Raw and Standard ID.

eBooks, Booklets, and
Workbooks.

here, but every library

book detail library will
use: 000, 008, 020,

etc.

Sometime it is required to create a duplicate of similar
record, so it requires editing the necessary information
to create a record. It can be easily done by clicking on
this add & duplicate.
It use to make multiple copies of saved
entry. User can add multiple of copies on
saved entry by entre accession/barcode
number of saved entry, system will
automatic generate continues
barcode/accession number.
