II. SUMMARY
The Department of Education (DepEd) particularly Panganiban National High School CAIC Compound
is committed to ensure unhampered delivery of basic education services to its learners and the community
like sports, and pursuant to the 1987 Philippine Constitution, Article XIV Section 19 of the 1987
Constitution provides that "the State shall promote physical education and encourage sports programs,
league competitions, and amateur sports, including training for international competitions, to foster self-
discipline, teamwork, and excellence for the development of a healthy and alert citizenry. Likewise, all
educational institutions shall undertake regular sports activities throughout the country in cooperation
with athletic clubs and other sectors. To ensure that every child has the right to rest, relax, play, and
participate in cultural and creative activities.

In this connection, the school sport coordinator initiates to conduct the PNHS CC School Intramural
2024
which aims to help the student athletes to develop the potential and strengthen the sports that lies within.
Choose student athletes who can compete in Municipal, Provincial, Regional, and National Meet.
III. BACKGROUND
The Department of Education, through its Regional, Schools Division and District Offices undertakes
urgent and necessary processes for continuous sports training at the time of pandemic by observing proper
health protocol. And in line with Republic Act No. 9155 otherwise known as the "Governance of Basic
Education Act of 2001" and Republic Act No. 5708 or "The Schools Physical Education and Sports
Development Act of 1969”, states that integrated physical education and school sports and physical fitness

program shall remain part of the Basic Education Curriculum and the Department of Education shall focus
on the formative years of the country's pool of athletes.
IV. OBJECTIVES
1. To select players who can compete in Municipal, Provincial, Regional, and National Meet.
2. To produce highly competent and skilled players.
To develop sportsmanship, teamwork and camaraderie between student athletes
3. Aims to help the student athletes to develop the potential and strengthen the sports that lies within
themselves.

The meeting commenced at 4:15 pm . The proposal to conduct a search for Mr. and Miss Intrams
was presented and discussed. All attendees expressed support for the initiative. It was
unanimously approved that the proceeds from the search will be allocated towards purchasing
sports equipment for the school. The next steps were outlined, and responsibilities were assigned.
