Dear Mr. Lambert,
Recycling is such an important program. As an Iredell county resident I admire what you
are doing with Iredell Recycling, LLC. As I am sure you know styrofoam is an
environmental plague facing our Earth. I am asking that you develop a program that
allows Iredell Recycling, LLC to be able to accept styrofoam.
As of right now, your recycling program does not accept styrofoam. I am aware that the
process of recycling styrofoam is more costly and toxic than recycling other materials. I
think it would be worth it to be able to recycle styrofoam because styrofoam never breaks
down. We need to start doing something different than just throwing it away into landfills
where it lingers for years and years to come. It would be awesome for our community to
start doing something about this.
If Iredell Recycling, LLC were to gain the ability to recycle styrofoam it would be very
beneficial. There are no recycling centers near here that area able to accept styrofoam so
it would really give Iredell some recognition. If you do not do anything I would be very
disappointed. As an organization that is dedicated to to making a positive environmental
impact I would expect you to stick to your mission statement.
Sincerely yours,
Urna Semper
