The goal is to increase the percentage of third grade students reading at grade level from 38% to 80% at R.C. Neal Elementary. Teachers will receive ongoing, job-embedded professional development on specific reading strategies. This will help second grade students improve their reading levels as measured by assessments, resulting in more students reading proficiently in third grade.

Students completed a self-efficacy survey three times over one academic year. Analysis of the survey results found that female students had significantly lower physics self-efficacy than male students, even when performance levels were comparable. The independent t-test was used to describe the students’ performance and the differences between the teaching strategies used. From the analysis, the treatment group students’ performance gained significantly higher than the control group. The study shows that the CG-Board strategy can improve the effectiveness of teaching and facilitating of Circle Geometry among students.
