Action learning involves groups of participants coming together to discuss real problems they face in their work. Through questioning and reflection with their group, called a learning set, participants gain new insights to address issues in new ways. Learning happens through discussion in these groups, rather than from formal training. Participants identify a specific work challenge and bring it to their group for feedback and ideas. By sharing perspectives and experiences, the group helps each member find fresh approaches to long-standing issues they return to in their practice with new understanding.
