INTRODUCTION
Value Based Management (VBM) is the management philosophy and
approach that enables and supports maximum value creation in
organizations, typically the maximization of shareholder value.
Materialistic Management
• Under moder production system managment
and workers are seperate entities.
• To the modern management the workers are
everything. The moment he is not able to work
he is discarded like a hired commodity.
Consequences of this management
 There is crises of confidence in workers
 There is no sense of belonging
 The manager has huge wealth but the soul is lost
What is management
Management means directing and controlling a group of people or an
organization to reach a goal.
In other word Management can also mean the person or people who
manage, the managers.
Value of management
 Value of management Is concerned with Value Management is
concerned with the creation of sustainable value, either at project,
product, process, organisational or social level. It is concerned with
improving and sustaining a desirable balance between the needs and
wants of stakeholders and the resources needed to satisfy them.

manager?

Manager is a person responsible for controlling a part of a
company or similar organization.

 Leadership
 Be a motivator
 Listen to your employees
 Provide training
 Acknowledge success
 Get to know your employees
Ethical in your approach
 A manager has to be very ethical. He is the face of team. His
subordinates and team member will pay him regarding only if
they find leader ethical .
Admit your mistakes
 If you get it wrong say so managers don’t have to be infallible. Your
staff will respect you more if you are able to admit your mistakes
and then set about sorting out a solution.
Style of Management
Management should be based on
sound professional principles.
The management should be:

ethical values and principles.
 Helper: Team player and good Samaritans.
Supports others and make them feel welcome in a
