UCAS is the application system used to apply to UK universities, with application fees of £22.50-£27 depending on the number of courses selected; it allows applicants to list up to 5 course choices in order of preference. The UCAS tariff system translates qualifications and grades into numerical values that universities use to assess applicants' eligibility for courses based on their entry requirements. The application process involves universities reviewing applicants' qualifications, personal statements, references, knowledge and commitment to the subject, learning attitude, and writing ability.

Improving Workplace Safety Performance in Malaysian SMEs: The Role of Safety ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: In the Malaysian context, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experience a significant
burden of workplace accidents. A consensus among scholars attributes a substantial portion of these incidents to
human factors, particularly unsafe behaviors. This study, conducted in Malaysia's northern region, specifically
targeted Safety and Health/Human Resource professionals within the manufacturing sector of SMEs. We
gathered a robust dataset comprising 107 responses through a meticulously designed self-administered
questionnaire. Employing advanced partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques
with SmartPLS 3.2.9, we rigorously analyzed the data to scrutinize the intricate relationship between safety
behavior and safety performance. The research findings unequivocally underscore the palpable and
consequential impact of safety behavior variables, namely safety compliance and safety participation, on
improving safety performance indicators such as accidents, injuries, and property damages. These results
strongly validate research hypotheses. Consequently, this study highlights the pivotal significance of cultivating
safety behavior among employees, particularly in resource-constrained SME settings, as an essential step toward
enhancing workplace safety performance.

ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

Academic pathway (1).pptx
1. What is
UCAS?
It costs £22.50 for a single course, and £27 for more
than one course.
You can pick up to 5 courses or less, you will have
your main course as your first one then work down to
your least main course.
The point system determines by the grades you will
achieve in college. The higher the grade the better
chance of you getting into UCAS and University.
The point system
UCAS tariff point translate your qualifications and grades into a
numerical value. Many qualifications but not all have a UCAS
tariff value, will depend on the qualification size, the grade you
achieved. This numerical value is used by HE course providers
to assess whether you meet their requirement for a particular
course.
How are tariff points used
Some universities and colleges refer to UCAS Tariff points in
their course entry requirements. This doesn’t mean they won't
consider qualifications.
Application process
The admissions teams will look for:
• Qualifications
• Content of written personal statement
displaying passion for the subject. While
demonstrating motivation, enthusiasm and
the skills and experience that will help you
succeed at University
• Content of reference
• Knowledge, commitment to the subject
• Good attitude to learning and personal
development
• Ability to articulate yourself fluently and
accurately in writing, helps tutors to know
what's coming
Course fee, Maintenace loan
England course fee= £9,250
2. Social media
management
I have looked at this course and been to an opening day
and got told information about this course. After going to
the opening day, I am more interested in this course,
and I feel like it is a good option for me.
112 UCAS Tariff points from BTEC Diplomas and many
others, costs £9,250 (living in the UK). Require 3 passes
at GCSE grade C or above (4 or above).

3. Media Production Media production is another course I was looking at for University, I went in for
half of the talk (it clashed with social media management). I looked at this
course because I am also interested in filming music videos, movies, series
and in general.
120 UCAS Tariff point from BTEC Diplomas and others. Costs £9,250 (living in
the UK). Requires three passes at GCSE level grade C or above (4 or
above). https://www.s

4. Film Production I have added this as my third option. I haven't looked into this course as in depth
as the other two but going into film and TV is something I have been interested in.

from the UK. Require three GCSE passes at grade C or above (grade 4 or above)

5. Application process
This is my application process so far. I have completed most of them apart from education, because I don’t know my
grades, yet which means I cannot fully complete it.
6. Advantages and disadvantages of these
courses
Social media management - advantages
• I have been interested in social media
industry
• Would like to be a content creator
• Found the course interesting and I
everything that I want to achieve I can do
with this course
• No written exams – coursework & practical
• Will be making content and managing real
clients accounts
• Learn how to grow on social media (and as
a content creator)
Disadvantages
• Will only be creating all kinds of social
media content, won't be creating music
videos
• Links in with journalism, don’t want to do
that type of course
Media production – advantages
• Will be filming different types of content
• Creating content for TV, radio, podcasts, socials and
online
• Can help with me becoming a music director
Disadvantages
• Won't be focused on social media a lot, wide variety
of content creation that I might not be interested in
7. Evaluation
Social media management
After looking through the information I feel like this course applies to me more than the media production. This is because I have been interested with
social media and I have wanted to make a career with it but don’t really know where to start. Going on this course will help me understand the algorithms
and analytics more, which will help me grow on social media. I can also choose to manage a business, manage my own social media account and make
myself my own business (this is what I want to do).
The downside to me picking this course is, I won't be able to fully making music videos. But I can create posts for Instagram, Facebook, twitter, threads,
reels and TikTok's for the artist to promote their music video. This means that I can still be involved in the music video side, but in a different way.
Media production
After looking through the information I feel like this course is good for me, but I prefer the social media management one better. This is because I would only take this course if it
was just filming movies, music videos, series. This is because I'm only interested in these subjects as well as social media, but radio and podcasts I am not really interested in as
much. I feel like this course can be too varied for me considering I am more interested in social media.
Both of these courses are taught at Sunderland University, this means I won't need to travel far so I won't need to pay for travel. I am also considering living with my parents which
means I won't need to pay for accommodation.
Film production
Looking at this course the information given is good for me and something I'm kind of interested in. Compared to the other two choices I feel like this course would be a backup
choice if I don’t get into one of the other two.
8. Evaluation of all
• After looking at all 3 courses and university I have decided that two of these courses are good options for me. I feel like
going to University is a good option for me because I can study and get more of an understanding of media and the
areas I want to go into.
• I am still considering an apprenticeship, but I have a good understanding that going to University is also a likely option
for me.
9. Unifrog
I have logged in on Unifrog and these are some of the
Universities I can either get in, possibly get in and ones
where I will need higher grades.
This is helpful as I can see where in the Uk I can get into
with my grades, which means I can plan if I need to move
away and get accommodation.
These are my results for some
of the quizzes I took.
10. Personal Statement – mind map of ideas
What to include in
personal statement
Related studies- BTEC Level 3 creative
media
Why I'm applying?
Why the subject interests me?
Why Iam suitable for the course?
Future plans
Individual skills
Networking/ work
experience
College workshops
(related to media)
Skills and achievements (related to
media)
Writing information for this, just need
to type it up.
11. Start on Personal statement – draft 1
This is how my personal statement is look. I feel like I've
made a good start but need more detail in certain areas.
I have other topics to add as well.
I'm struggling with how to arrange everything as I don’t
know if there needs to be an order. I also don’t know if
I'm talking too less or too much on certain topics.
