 Received EE Ph.D. in 1967 from USC; Received
MD in 1975 from Texas Southwestern University.

Variable Amplitude and Pulse-Width”
Was a part-time associate professor of EE at
Southern Methodist University before going into
private practice.

5. Donald Baker Twieg, Ph.D.
 Born: 1944
 Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering 1977 from
Southern Methodist University

 Both Received Ph.D.’s in 1972 from Stanford
Research focuses on fMRI and other technologies
to uncover the structure of human thought. The
fMRI studies track the brain activity that occurs
during a wide range of cognitive and social
thought, such as language comprehension, visual
thinking, problem-solving, working memory, social
judgment, and multi-tasking.
