S Direktif, berfokus pada konselor
S During the interview attention is focused upon a particular problem and possibilities
for its solution.
S During the interview the counsellor plays a more active role than the client or pupil.
S The pupil or client makes the decision, but the counsellor does all that he can to get
the counsellee or client makes a decision in keeping with his diagnosis.
S The counsellor tries to direct the thinking of the counsellee or client by informing,
explaining, interpreting and advising him.

S and reflective of students’ in-class efforts and out-of class

S Sepakat tentang tujuan yang akan dicapa dalam sesi yang
berjalan.
S Apa yang ingin dicapai melalui sesi ini?
S Setelah sesi ini apa yang ingin anda peroleh?
S Apa hal bermanfaat yang ingin and peroleh dari sesi ini?
Reality
S Once the goal is set you will need to explore the
facts and feelings around the issue/problem/topic.
S This exploration is to raise the awareness and self-
awareness of the individual.
S Awareness is defined as perceiving things as they
really are and
S self-awareness is recognising those internal factors
that distort one’s own perception of reality.
S To do this we often we need to tap into the emotions:
S  How did you/do you feel about....?
 What is the predominant feeling when....?
S  What do you think you are afraid of?
S Can you give me a rating on a scale of 1 – 10 for your
level of confidence in your … ability to do....?
Pertanyaan Ajaib- Reality
S Sudah mengambil langkah apa?
S Apa efek dari tindakan tersebut?
S Jika jawabannya “tidak”, maka kita bisa gali
apa yang membuatnya tak melakukan
tindakan apapun?
OPTIONS
Jika realitas sudah dipahami, langkah selanjutnya dalah
berpikir tentang tindakan atau ide yang akan membantu
dalam menghadapi situasi/ memecahkan masalah.
Mengajak mencari alternatif tindakan menjadi penting,
karena membuat “mentee”/ konselee menjadi terlibat,
memiliki kendali atas pilihannya.
