This document summarizes a study comparing subjective well-being and self-actualization. The study surveyed 57 individuals in Yonkers to examine factors related to suggestive well-being and the illusion of happiness. It found that the literature recognizes two main theories of happiness - a hedonistic approach focused on pleasure and pain, and a eudaimonic approach viewing happiness through self-actualization. The study aimed to determine correlations with subjective well-being and the extent the illusion of happiness influences different groups. The results suggested education is the main factor influencing how often women fall in love, with more educated women more sure of being in love.
