1. Abstract
Mechatronics system is a synergetic combination of electronic, mechanical design and
computer software, this project covers all the related aspects of mechatronics system. Also this
report is written, keeping in mind all these things.
This project implements a portable printed circuit board drilling machine which is
capable of drilling a circuit board layout The project addresses the challenges of integrating all
of these different hardware and software components number of opportunities to increase our
knowledge in both hardware and software engineering.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Drilling is commonly implemented for mass
production. The drilling machine, however, is often a multi-function machining center that also
mills and sometimes turns. The intelligent PCB drilling machine can be configured with a CNC
system. In CNC system the computer directly controls the drilling machine and receives
feedbacks from it. To achieve more effective results, optimization systems approach is required
to be equipped in drilling machine. This design can be widely applied to various CNC PCB
drilling machines in small and medium scale manufacturing industries.
