ABSTRACT
Evaluation of directional drilling in X-24 wells is to analyze problems that
occur in these wells. This research aimed to see if there are any problems during
the process of drilling these wells. In this final project, evaluation is done by using
Compass Software 5000.I.
To calculate trajectory comparison between actual and plan, the method
used Minimum Of Curvature. Then compared to calculations between Compass
Software 5000.I with manual calculations. The evaluation also includes data DDR
(Daily Drilling Report), drilling parameters, BHA survey data and used.
The results showed that the actual trajectory of the X - 24 wells deviated
from the plan in some sections is the kick off point, the hold section, and the depth
of the drop section TD. Formation factor in this evaluation and survey tools are
broken is one of the biggest factors that cause deviations occur. In addition the
total loss at a depth of 8546 ft MD up to a depth of 8950 ft MD that led to the
revocation Blind Drilling.
With this evaluation, it is expected that the signs of the problem can be
avoided, before the problem actually occurred on other occasions. So that the
drilling process can run smoothly until a pre-planned targets.
