Problems that occur during directional drilling in X-24 wells were evaluated using Compass Software 5000.I. The actual well trajectories deviated from the planned path at some points, including the kick off point, hold section, and total depth. Formation factors and broken downhole survey tools caused the largest deviations. Total loss of drilling fluid from 8546 to 8950 feet required blind drilling and further deviated the well path. This evaluation identifies problems so signs can be recognized earlier to avoid issues and ensure future wells reach planned targets smoothly.
