The festival programme outlines events taking place from August 28th to 31st in Gretna and Eastriggs, including film screenings, talks, workshops, tours of the historic munitions factory by classic bus, living history displays, and a ceilidh. Highlights include a talk on Gallipoli on the 28th, children's film Gold Rush on the 29th, vintage fashion show and Phantom of the Opera screening that afternoon, and the ceilidh on the 29th evening. The programme provides location details and admission costs for the various events celebrating the area's World War 1 heritage.

soldiers who fought at Gallipoli in 1915. Using rare photos and

details, information and artefacts showing how families
coped whilst the men were away fighting at the Front.
ASC Workshop/Garage and Motortricycle
Concentrating on the important work of the Army Service Corps.
Their many duties included keeping the troops supplied with food
and ammunition, transporting soldiers and equipment in all fields
of battle. The lightweight Motortricycle would have been a handy
vehicle to call upon for quick transport.

Women’s Association football was first played in Edinburgh in 1881.
Although further matches were played in Scotland throughout the
1880s and 90s, it was during World War One that the women’s game
was propelled into the public consciousness like never before.
This exhibition looks at the rise, fall and resurrection of Scottish
women’s football from the factory teams of World War One to its
place on the international sports stage today.
