Hose & Drogue Visual Aids. State of the Art
 Different visual aids are employed in Hose & Drogue systems to inform the Receiver pilot
about its position within the refuelling range:
 Hose Markings: Provide some hose
position references. During night
operations hose markings need to be
highlighted by means of external lights.
 Traffic Lights: Provide System Status and
discrete information about hose position
(In-Refuelling range or Out of refuelling
range).
