The majority of respondents correctly identified the genre as hip hop and recognized the consistent black-and-white theme across all pieces. Most understood the narrative of the music video and its link to portraying stereotypes from the artist's perspective. The target teenage audience found the pieces appealing due to their fashionable style and relatable message.
