2. What happened to the party?
I started writing about playlists and things got weird. I noticed
the sadness about making playlists.
I also noticed funny things. So I combined the sad things with
a sense of humor. I laugh when I’m sad.
At least there are buttons.

This is a main idea of the presentation.

Music playlists necessarily seek out fashion.
Shallowness has hidden benefits.
Super upsetting.

8. Ephemeral is preferable
It’s here and then it’s gone.
Fanzines and zines are projects that don’t last forever.
It’s about the atmosphere that playlists create.

11. Book playlists
The thing about book playlists is they’re fine. Especially for
connecting with teachers, classroom projects, and people who
read books. I do this and will continue to do this for anybody
that asks.
However libraries are not just about the books. Libraries are
about people. Include their voices.
Super Upsetting.

Whatever)
You don’t need directions. People know about playlists.
Time-of-year is a good starting point.
Songs with swear words are allowed. Playlists do not violate
the FCC. You are not actually playing the songs.

13. What you need
A xerox machine (To make the playlists). I love xerox
machines.
The person’s name. Always tell people that writing
“Anonymous” is ok.
A list of songs from that person. You can look up artist’s
names later.

14. What you need continued
Willing people to type up messily written playlists.
A place to display the playlists. Pretend you are an installation
artist.
Optional: A massive, streaming playlist on “da cloud”.
Optional: A zine compiling the playlists.

15. Feels like the worst time
Let’s have some fun.
