CoQ10 in Asthma.pptx
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) has potential as an antioxidant treatment for asthma. Studies have shown lower levels of CoQ10 in asthma patients compared to healthy controls. As a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant, CoQ10 can protect against oxidative damage to mitochondria, which plays a role in asthma pathophysiology. Administration of CoQ10 in animal studies of asthma attenuated airway inflammation, reduced oxidative stress markers, and downregulated inflammatory pathways. CoQ10 supplementation may help restore antioxidant balance and reduce corticosteroid dependency in asthma patients. More research is still needed but CoQ10 shows promise as a therapeutic agent for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects in asthma.

This document describes an experiment investigating the effects of fenugreek extract on macrophage polarization using a THP-1 cell model. THP-1 macrophages were treated with two concentrations of fenugreek extract and the M1 marker CD86 and M2 marker CD163 were measured using flow cytometry. Preliminary experiments determined that EDTA was the optimal method for detaching adherent THP-1 macrophages without reducing cell viability. The results found that fenugreek upregulated CD86 but downregulated CD163 expression. This suggests fenugreek caused polarization of macrophages toward an M1 phenotype, though further shifted this to an M4 phenotype. The effect on CD163 was possibly due to multiple M2 subclasses making expression harder to measure

The combination of omega-3 and curcumin have also synergistic effects which a lower dose can induce a positive effect. The aim of present study is to determine whether omega 3 fatty acids, curcumin or combined of them as a complement treatment in migraine is helpful and the reduction gene expression and serum levels of inflammatory markers.The study will be conducted involving 80 episodic migraine patients that withstratified randomization method based on sex, gender and body mass index (BMI) are classified into 4 groups: 1) receiving omega 3 fatty acid supplement (1.8 gr/ day) and nano-curcumin supplement (80 mg/ day) 2) receiving omega 3 fatty acid supplement and curcumin placebo 3) receiving curcumin supplement and omega 3 fatty acid placebo 4) receiving omega 3 fatty acid placebo and curcumin placebo for 2 mounts. Blood samples will be collected after anthropometric parameter measuring then target biochemical parameters, gene expression and serum levels oftarget inflammatory mediators including COX-2 and iNOs enzymes, TNF-α،IL-1β،IL-6 and adhesion molecule such as ICAM and VCAM will be measured before and after the trial. The data will be statistically evaluated using the most appropriate tests.The results of current study will determine the efficacy of therapeutic effects of curcumin, omega 3 fatty acids and combined of them as a new insight to control and treatment of migraine.

This document describes an experiment investigating the effects of fenugreek extract on macrophage polarization using a THP-1 cell model. THP-1 macrophages were treated with two concentrations of fenugreek extract and the M1 marker CD86 and M2 marker CD163 were measured using flow cytometry. Preliminary experiments determined that EDTA was the optimal method for detaching adherent THP-1 macrophages without reducing cell viability. The results found that fenugreek upregulated CD86 but downregulated CD163 expression. This suggests fenugreek caused polarization of macrophages toward an M1 phenotype, though further shifted this to an M4 phenotype. The effect on CD163 was possibly due to multiple M2 subclasses making expression harder to measure

The combination of omega-3 and curcumin have also synergistic effects which a lower dose can induce a positive effect. The aim of present study is to determine whether omega 3 fatty acids, curcumin or combined of them as a complement treatment in migraine is helpful and the reduction gene expression and serum levels of inflammatory markers.The study will be conducted involving 80 episodic migraine patients that withstratified randomization method based on sex, gender and body mass index (BMI) are classified into 4 groups: 1) receiving omega 3 fatty acid supplement (1.8 gr/ day) and nano-curcumin supplement (80 mg/ day) 2) receiving omega 3 fatty acid supplement and curcumin placebo 3) receiving curcumin supplement and omega 3 fatty acid placebo 4) receiving omega 3 fatty acid placebo and curcumin placebo for 2 mounts. Blood samples will be collected after anthropometric parameter measuring then target biochemical parameters, gene expression and serum levels oftarget inflammatory mediators including COX-2 and iNOs enzymes, TNF-α،IL-1β،IL-6 and adhesion molecule such as ICAM and VCAM will be measured before and after the trial. The data will be statistically evaluated using the most appropriate tests.The results of current study will determine the efficacy of therapeutic effects of curcumin, omega 3 fatty acids and combined of them as a new insight to control and treatment of migraine.

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

A STUDY BY AMARJIT MISHRA – METABOLIC ADAPTATIONS IN TH2-HIGH ASTHMA we present an excerpt of a review by Dr. Amarjit Mishra of Auburn University who has been working to improve understanding of the metabolic adaptation and activation of lung immune cells in the development and regulation of airway inflammation, with a focus on immunometabolic pathways in causing asthma heterogeneity.
- 2. Dr. Amarjit Mishra and his team are striving to create promising new therapy strategies by increasing their understanding of how immunometabolic pathways regulate airway inflammation and the aetiology of asthma.
- 3. the IL-5, IL-13, and IL-4 cytokine production that results from the Th2-mediated lung adaptive immune response is accompanied by a phenotype of eosinophilic inflammation. Pyruvate Kinase M2 expression is one of the significant metabolic modifications emphasised by Amarjit Mishra.
- 4. The allergic stimulus-induced Th2 inflammation is initiated by antigen- presenting dendritic cells, which depend on immature mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation and are regulated by AMPK signalling.
- 5. Amarjit Mishra and his team’s results suggest that the dendritic cells migration to draining LN is unaffected by antigen absorption and priming, which are affected by mitochondrial dysfunction. As per the views of the experts, there is a need for further studies on the Irg1/itaconate axis to explore the immunomodulatory role in dendritic cells effector function and Th2 inflammatory pathways driving asthma pathogenesis.
