A Personal Reflection of the Visual Learner
A Personal Reflection of the Visual Learner: Self–Assessment and Reflection Paper. Vivian Hamilton August 16, 2014 Professor: Jon Vernon Com
/516 Personal Learning Style "Vision is the art of seeing the invisible" quoted by Johnathan Swift. I am a visual thinker. This learning style is
personal to me because not only do I process given information visually I perceive everything as a visual learner. The ability to gain knowledge from
information that is observed and not "read" in the conventional sense is defined as visual literacy (Wood, Stover, Pilonieta, & Taylor, 2012).A
visual learner is defined as someone who views concepts, data, and other information through visual images or models. A visual learner has a very

My personal weakness is time management and organizational skills. As a visual learner I do not have an accurate since of time management
since I only see the final product. For example, when leaving to go on vacation I never factor in the time it takes to reach my destination but I
focus on the direction of where I am traveling to. Time management affects every learner in one way or another. Research suggest that visual
learners should practice keeping time or using a timer when working. Being cautious of the time will help visual learners to take their time and
see each component as an important piece of the puzzle. Organizational skills is key for any educator, as for me and my organizational skills I call
it "organized chaos". I can visually place things where I see fit and can easily located them at my convenience, but others might view it as messy or
cluttered space. As a visual learner my goal this school year is to stay organized as possible when it comes to student assignments and teacher paper
work. Being aware of my strengths and weakness will help me better facilitate my students and meet the needs of their personal learning styles. In the
end as an educator I can give learners no better gift than the ability to believe in themselves and a true love for learning (Lauria, 2010). Improvement

There are three main types of learning styles that educators need to remember when planning lessons in the classroom. The three main learning styles
are auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners. All students in the classroom are different types of learners. It is critical that teachers incorporate all
types of styles into their everyday lessons. One of the schools I worked in required the teachers to include what type of learning style their specific
lessons were tailored to. We were required to put V (visual), A (auditory), or K (kinesthetic) next to the activities. I thought this was a great idea
because it challenged the teachers to show how involve a visual into their lesson or activity. As the teachers started to incorporate visuals...show more

The students do not verbally correct the students behavior, but rather encourage them to show the appropriate behavior and award them by listening to
their response. I have also used visuals for all students when creating daily calendars. I had individualized schedules with both pictures and words
which included all of the students related services pull out times. The students took their picture off after they completed the activity and felt success.
This was also used across the school for students of all ages.
I, currently as a special education coordinator, encourage teachers in the general education classroom to implement visual strategies into their everyday
lessons and on an individualized basis when needed. As you roam through the classrooms, many teachers have implemented behavioral strategy visuals
on individual students desk. Some of these may include, raise your hand, quiet mouth, or I need help. The students need to point to the visual before
the teacher provides them the support. We have several students across grade levels that do not ask questions when they are struggling. The visuals are
used as reminders of appropriate behaviors and skills these specific students are working

Have you ever thought about what your learning preference may be? Did you know everyone may have a style of learning? By taking a self
assessment, you can identify your own learning style. Implementing this understanding into your daily life, may help ensure a better comprehension of
material.
In this essay, I will gather information about two self assessments I have taken. These self assessments describe my individual learning style. I will
determine if I agree or disagree with the assessment findings. I will address my personal reasons for entering college. I hope to develop a better
understanding of myself and my assessment...show more content...
I understand visual–learning may not be suitable for everyone, but for me it works well. When doing mathematical exercises, I choose to write out
each step for my own benefit. Having the steps laid out in front of me, helps me to better understand the solutions.
When I sought out my college degree, I had intentions to gain knowledge for obtaining a career that would help others. I still have the same intentions,
but have expected more out of own performance. I want to gain a better financial footing for me and my family. Mostly, my children have inspired me
to become a better person. My children are the reason I breathe, walk, sing, dance, entertain, read self–help books, cook, clean, and have a color coated
chore wheel. They believe I have the moon in my hands, the stars at my door–step, and a direct line to Santa's workshop. These little people I have the
pleasure to call mine, they are the reason I go to college.
In conclusion, it has been determined I am a visual learner. I started my college degree in search of a better life for me and my family. Having the
drive to stay committed to your studies, will lead you to a better tomorrow. Being a visual learner incorporates diagrams, flow charts, and any

My Learning Style As A Visual Learner
My learning style is a visual learner. I am able to comprehend and work to the best of my ability when I am able to see the problem and the work
written to solve it. Seeing/taking detailed notes is easier for me to learn a lesson than listening to a discussion because I can see the work and
word terms without worrying about forgetting them. I learn best as a visual learner because I am able to see all the steps to solve a problem and I
am able to figure out where I might need to fix a mistake. During math class in eighth grade, I was able to completely understand a lesson that I
considered confusing in previous years. Another time during math class, I got a good grade on a test, when I thought I was going to get a C. There are

Essay on Learning about Learning Styles
A learning style is a way in which a learner begins to concentrate on, process, and retain new and difficult information(Dunn & Dunn, 1987). A teacher
cannot expect a student to listen to a story and answer a series of questions then expect them to make a perfect score when the student learns better by
reading. Learning styles are simply deduced by how information is processed. Understand one's individual learning style helps him or her by setting
them up for success instead of setting them up for failure.
Every human being learns in a different and unusual way. There are not any two people in the world that learns the same way. Some people learn
through working with their hands, some learn through what they see and can process and...show more content...
Those styles are visual, auditory, and tactile/kinesthetic. To simplify the learning style into words that are easier to comprehend and remember visual
means to see, auditory means to hear and tactile/kinesthetic means to touch. As humans, all of these or a combination of all three of these learning styles
, in a single person, is used on a daily basis. To better understand these learning styles, a brief but thorough description is going to be provided.
Visual learners prefer to read and study in order to understand what they are learning. Visual learners should take notes on what they read and should
have a highlighter available to be able to highlight information that would seem important to this learner. These learners seem to be better with graphs
and maps than the others learning styles. These learners also seem to have a more photogenic memory. They can remember more things by what they
saw when they were told certain information.
Visual learners have a harder time reading because when they read they have the habit of making words into pictures. These individuals have a harder
time talking on the telephone because talking on the telephone takes away from the in person contact and eliminates the ability to see and process the
other person body language. Visual learners can remember information that was presented to them as a child years later. Most of the

Visual Learner Learning Style Analysis
A visual learner learning style is when someone needs to visualize stuff to understand what they are learning the best. According to the edutopia website
it states that my dominant learning style is a visual learner.
A visual learner has a good amount of learning aspects. For example, a visual learner needs to spot things with there eyes. In addition, visual learners
can modify things with their mind. The strengths of a visual learner is that they are amazing at solving puzzles, great at drawing, and that they can
visualize things in there head. These learners use art projects to represent to an individual or a group of people. Visual learners are very fabulous at
crafts and just have that art brain. When these types of learners study they like pictures or images next to their notes to have a visual. In brief, visual

Visual learners need to spot things with there eyes and need a visual representation. In the Edutopia website it says that when you study you want to
have a picture next to your notes to help you study and to spot what the words mean in a picture. Also, in the edutopia website it says that you can
use an art project to present to the class. Visual learners are very fantastic at art and have an art brain. This would help them because they would have
a piece to present to the class. Finally, these are some strategies that are related to a visual learner.
To sum up, there are so many ways that a visual learner can learn. These strategies will help teachers better understand how you learn. Are you a visual

Reflection On Learning Styles
When I took the learning styles inventory survey I actually found out that my learning styles were visual, applied, verbal, social and pragmatic
learning. The most preferred of all of them being visual learning. I can completely understand why it's that because since I was young I always
learned a lot easier through videos or pictures instead just text. What I learned about this is how visual learners usually "jot down notes, looks at the
book frequently and making flash cards." When I study, I usually make note cards because it's a quick and easy way of learning and it put your memory
to the test. Now I learned to reorganize lecture notes after class and to take notes during the readings instead of after the reading. A little more that I

I didn't like it when they showed it to us back then because I believe it was actually effective because it seemed different than what I normally did.
But for me personally I find this method very time consuming. Yet, I actually find some benefits for it because it causes you to use your brain a little
more trying to connect these ideas together and figure out why it connects with each other. Not only that but I find it an excellent method for
organizing my notes and it was a lot easier to find out where everything was easily. And lastly as embarrassing as it sounds, it made studying fun.
Usually studying is a bore for me and I usually end up getting tired or distracted then I end up procrastinating and probably never finish studying
anyway.
However, I actually studied for more than hour consecutively which was unusual for me because I can never find myself staying stuck to my
notebook for no more than 45 minutes with getting bored. I would make the maps into webs and the circle in the middle would be the title of the
notes. I would make the ideas that are connected or associated with each other have similar shapes to each other instead just circles. Also, to add a
little more "creativity" I would also use different color pencils and markers. Afterwards, I was skeptical about if this method can actually help me do
better on the quizzes we take every Tuesday and Thursday. When I came in contact with the quiz I could remember what I actually read

What Does Your Learning Style Mean To You Essay
The results that I received after taking What's Your Learning Style stated that I'm a visual learning. After seeing the result, I now know how I learn
best. As stated on results that I have to picture things in my head and look, and write things done to get the understanding of what I am working on.
There are many things that I can do to learn better is make sure that I have more time in doing my homework, because being a visual learning I have to
picture, write important things to make sure that I can remember them. I already try to color code things especially when I'm at work because I need
to be very organize. What I can add to the suggestions is that the more that I write then the more that I will remember, because I know that I have to

Learning Styles: Visual, Kiesthetic, And Audiory
Would you rather draw a diagram, participate in a discussion, or complete a project to help you understand a concept? Whichever option you choose
most likely is due to your preferred learning style. A learning style is a method in which a person learns new information. There are three primary
learning styles: visual, kinesthetic, and auditory. The visual, kinesthetic, and auditorylearning styles have a number of differences that separate each
from the other styles. One learning style is the visual learning style. The visual learning style is characterized by learning by seeing. Therefore, a visual
learner is a person that prefers to learn new information through visual means, such as written text or images. Examples of study methods for

Different Learning Styles Essay
Different Learning Styles
Students have different ways to learn. Some people are hands on learners or visual learners. Teachers try to adapt the way they teach; to the way their
students learn the best. The information that is being taught should be made fun so that the students remember the information. Schools are also using
new technology to help students learn. Different learning styles have different effects on people.
Different learning styles are the talk of many school districts from near and far. The study of different learning styles has gone back since the late 19th
to the early 20th centuries. We all know that people have different ways of learning, so teachers try to teach the way their...show more content...

the validity of the four ILP scales with the different components of a course and demonstrated how these scales can be useful to instructors who would
like to ?conceptualize and account for students' individual scores?

Visual Learner Communication Style Analysis
I am more of a visual learner. With pictures I can analyze every single detail and with these details my memory does a better job a retaining
information. When I learn only with lectures or "hands on work," I tend not to understand the concept that is being taught to me and or remember the
concept as best as I could through visuals. While this is my preferred method to learn I have developed ways to cope with other methods of learning
such as lecturing and hands on work. During lectures I doodle while I hear the speaker, that keeps me engaged in the lesson. When I am doing "hands
on work," I stop every so often to make sure I understand what I am doing. In terms of my communication style I am very respectful of what other's
opinions, while

Learning Styles: Visual And Kiesthetic Learning
From the reading of week 8 Lecture 1 "Learning Styles", I agree with the second sentence in the last paragraph, where it says that people can be a
combination of more than one learning style. I feel that I learn from both a visual and kinesthetic learning. First, I like illustrations that incorporate
the use of pictures and diagrams, it helps to stimulate my mind and aids in understand of what is going on. Frequently write things down that I feel
is important and want to remember later, as well as see demonstrations of how things are done to understand them better. When I am doing my course
work I have to go to my office at home facing the opposite direction of the window, as the window in the room is a huge distraction for me. Often I use

Learning Styles : A Learning Style Assessment
A learning style is a term used to describe the ways in which people gather, interpret, and store information. Each style can be broken down into a
category based on sensory needs: auditory, visual, and tactile. The presumption is that you will best retain the information presented to you if the
conditions of your learning style meet. Based on the idea that learning styles exist, I consider myself a visual learner. I prefer to write instructions and
keep my thoughts organized. I generate ideas based on reading examples or watching instructional videos. As a child, my preferences were lined
primarily with auditory learning. I could easily remember things that spoken to me. As our personalities develop and environment changes, so do our
learning styles.
A learning style assessment is a good way to gather information about your primary learning style. A series of questions are asked to determine
your sensory preferences. Our learning environment can play a role in how well we will retain the information given to us. We may use different
learning styles based on the situation. A learning style assessment offers a variety of scenarios to assess the way you learn most of the time. The
questions vary from the type of books you enjoy to what you do while you wait in line at a store checkout. According to the assessment, my learning
style is 40% Auditory, 35% Visual, and 25% Tactile. As a primarily auditory learner, "you learn best by hearing and listening" as well as "hum or talk

Learning Styles Research Paper
The Effects of Learning Styles As Benjamin Franklin once said, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."
Throughout the years many have studied how people learn. Knowing this, there are different types of learning. There are three types of learning styles,
Visual, Aural and Kinesthetic according to The Twin Cycle Experimental Learning Model: Reconceptulizing Kolb's Theory. (Avery, Gayle and
Bergstiener, Herald. 2014). The observations done in the articles have proved the theory of multiplelearning styles is to be true. Learning styles of
students is very prominent and obviously an issue when combined with a large class size. Different learning styles have always impacted our lives
although it may be more relevant due to test scores and lecture studies. Whereas in the article Teaching Very Large Classes, professors give their own
opinions on the struggle of attending to the needs of very large class sizes. People don't use the different learning styles, Visual, Kinesthetic and
Auditory, to their advantage. In particular, my first article examined all learning styles and even broke them down further from just Kinesthetic,
Auditory and Visual to six different types. This proving the three to be dominant with people they experimented with. In my first article The Twin
Cycle Experimental Learning Model: Reconceptulizing Kolb's Theory states, "Furthermore, the model in conjunction with the taxonomy is integrative,
it takes account of Gregorc's

1.My learning styles are kinesthetic and visual. When I learn to do something, I always skip the instruction, I tend to jump right in and try it. In terms
of Mutual Intelligence, I scored 3.57 in Nature, 3.43 in Self, and 3.14 Musical. The MI score nearly reflects who I am except the language and
kinesthetic score. It's true that I'm not good at math and logical problems but I do enjoy new languages. I'm bilingual now and I want to be a trilingual.
Therefore, I believe that my score in linguistic and kinesthetic should be higher. There are some statements in the Assessment results which I find
so true about me. For instance, "Take photographs of what you find on your hike", "You like working on projects on your own", and "You enjoy
humming or singing along with music." My Keirsey Score is INFP which means my learning score is NF. I'm not the type of person who logically
plans to do everything. I prefer to be led by feelings. It's also true that I'm an introvert when I'm around people who I don't feel comfortable with.
Actually, I change into another person when I'm with my family and friends. It's interesting that my boyfriend shares totally different traits in the

Learning Styles Which Are Visual, Auditory And.
M3 Learning Styles
There are three main learning styles which are Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic. The three of these are different ways of how you prefer to learn, and
how you consume information efficiently.
Visual Learning
This style uses images, pictures, colours and maps to let the learner see, so they are able to consume the information and communicate with other
people. You able to visualize objects and the outcomes in your mind's eye. The learner has a good spatial sense, which enables you to have a good
sense of direction. This means that you can easily find your way around maps and hardly get lost. If you're a visual learner then you use other visual
media to help to learn. This will allow you to make your visualizations stand out more and make sure that new material among others are able to float
inside your head.
The main characteristics of a visual learner are that they remember what they see, instead of what they hear. They also prefer diagrams, pictures and to
read and write rather than listening. This learner is usually good at spelling, but forgets names, and needs to study in quite. Also, they would tune out
when they try to pay attention and they would need an overall new and purpose beginning a project.
Auditory Learning
This style involves the learner to consume information through listening. They depend on hearing and speaking as they main way of learning. The
learner has to be able to hear what is being said, so they can understand the

A Personal Reflection Of The Visual Learner

  • 1. A Personal Reflection of the Visual Learner A Personal Reflection of the Visual Learner: Self–Assessment and Reflection Paper. Vivian Hamilton August 16, 2014 Professor: Jon Vernon Com /516 Personal Learning Style "Vision is the art of seeing the invisible" quoted by Johnathan Swift. I am a visual thinker. This learning style is personal to me because not only do I process given information visually I perceive everything as a visual learner. The ability to gain knowledge from information that is observed and not "read" in the conventional sense is defined as visual literacy (Wood, Stover, Pilonieta, & Taylor, 2012).A visual learner is defined as someone who views concepts, data, and other information through visual images or models. A visual learner has a very unique...show more content... My personal weakness is time management and organizational skills. As a visual learner I do not have an accurate since of time management since I only see the final product. For example, when leaving to go on vacation I never factor in the time it takes to reach my destination but I focus on the direction of where I am traveling to. Time management affects every learner in one way or another. Research suggest that visual learners should practice keeping time or using a timer when working. Being cautious of the time will help visual learners to take their time and see each component as an important piece of the puzzle. Organizational skills is key for any educator, as for me and my organizational skills I call it "organized chaos". I can visually place things where I see fit and can easily located them at my convenience, but others might view it as messy or cluttered space. As a visual learner my goal this school year is to stay organized as possible when it comes to student assignments and teacher paper work. Being aware of my strengths and weakness will help me better facilitate my students and meet the needs of their personal learning styles. In the end as an educator I can give learners no better gift than the ability to believe in themselves and a true love for learning (Lauria, 2010). Improvement Strategies Proper planning prevents poor performance is my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. There are three main types of learning styles that educators need to remember when planning lessons in the classroom. The three main learning styles are auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners. All students in the classroom are different types of learners. It is critical that teachers incorporate all types of styles into their everyday lessons. One of the schools I worked in required the teachers to include what type of learning style their specific lessons were tailored to. We were required to put V (visual), A (auditory), or K (kinesthetic) next to the activities. I thought this was a great idea because it challenged the teachers to show how involve a visual into their lesson or activity. As the teachers started to incorporate visuals...show more content... The students do not verbally correct the students behavior, but rather encourage them to show the appropriate behavior and award them by listening to their response. I have also used visuals for all students when creating daily calendars. I had individualized schedules with both pictures and words which included all of the students related services pull out times. The students took their picture off after they completed the activity and felt success. This was also used across the school for students of all ages. I, currently as a special education coordinator, encourage teachers in the general education classroom to implement visual strategies into their everyday lessons and on an individualized basis when needed. As you roam through the classrooms, many teachers have implemented behavioral strategy visuals on individual students desk. Some of these may include, raise your hand, quiet mouth, or I need help. The students need to point to the visual before the teacher provides them the support. We have several students across grade levels that do not ask questions when they are struggling. The visuals are used as reminders of appropriate behaviors and skills these specific students are working Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Have you ever thought about what your learning preference may be? Did you know everyone may have a style of learning? By taking a self assessment, you can identify your own learning style. Implementing this understanding into your daily life, may help ensure a better comprehension of material. In this essay, I will gather information about two self assessments I have taken. These self assessments describe my individual learning style. I will determine if I agree or disagree with the assessment findings. I will address my personal reasons for entering college. I hope to develop a better understanding of myself and my assessment...show more content... I understand visual–learning may not be suitable for everyone, but for me it works well. When doing mathematical exercises, I choose to write out each step for my own benefit. Having the steps laid out in front of me, helps me to better understand the solutions. When I sought out my college degree, I had intentions to gain knowledge for obtaining a career that would help others. I still have the same intentions, but have expected more out of own performance. I want to gain a better financial footing for me and my family. Mostly, my children have inspired me to become a better person. My children are the reason I breathe, walk, sing, dance, entertain, read self–help books, cook, clean, and have a color coated chore wheel. They believe I have the moon in my hands, the stars at my door–step, and a direct line to Santa's workshop. These little people I have the pleasure to call mine, they are the reason I go to college. In conclusion, it has been determined I am a visual learner. I started my college degree in search of a better life for me and my family. • 4. My Learning Style As A Visual Learner My learning style is a visual learner. I am able to comprehend and work to the best of my ability when I am able to see the problem and the work written to solve it. Seeing/taking detailed notes is easier for me to learn a lesson than listening to a discussion because I can see the work and word terms without worrying about forgetting them. I learn best as a visual learner because I am able to see all the steps to solve a problem and I am able to figure out where I might need to fix a mistake. During math class in eighth grade, I was able to completely understand a lesson that I considered confusing in previous years. Another time during math class, I got a good grade on a test, when I thought I was going to get a C. There are many things that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Essay on Learning about Learning Styles A learning style is a way in which a learner begins to concentrate on, process, and retain new and difficult information(Dunn & Dunn, 1987). A teacher cannot expect a student to listen to a story and answer a series of questions then expect them to make a perfect score when the student learns better by reading. Learning styles are simply deduced by how information is processed. Understand one's individual learning style helps him or her by setting them up for success instead of setting them up for failure. Every human being learns in a different and unusual way. There are not any two people in the world that learns the same way. Some people learn through working with their hands, some learn through what they see and can process and...show more content... Those styles are visual, auditory, and tactile/kinesthetic. To simplify the learning style into words that are easier to comprehend and remember visual means to see, auditory means to hear and tactile/kinesthetic means to touch. As humans, all of these or a combination of all three of these learning styles , in a single person, is used on a daily basis. To better understand these learning styles, a brief but thorough description is going to be provided. Visual learners prefer to read and study in order to understand what they are learning. Visual learners should take notes on what they read and should have a highlighter available to be able to highlight information that would seem important to this learner. These learners seem to be better with graphs and maps than the others learning styles. These learners also seem to have a more photogenic memory. They can remember more things by what they saw when they were told certain information. Visual learners have a harder time reading because when they read they have the habit of making words into pictures. These individuals have a harder time talking on the telephone because talking on the telephone takes away from the in person contact and eliminates the ability to see and process the other person body language. Visual learners can remember information that was presented to them as a child years later. Most of the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

According to the edutopia website it states that my dominant learning style is a visual learner. A visual learner has a good amount of learning aspects. For example, a visual learner needs to spot things with there eyes. In addition, visual learners can modify things with their mind. The strengths of a visual learner is that they are amazing at solving puzzles, great at drawing, and that they can visualize things in there head. These learners use art projects to represent to an individual or a group of people. Visual learners are very fabulous at crafts and just have that art brain. • 7. Reflection On Learning Styles When I took the learning styles inventory survey I actually found out that my learning styles were visual, applied, verbal, social and pragmatic learning. The most preferred of all of them being visual learning. I can completely understand why it's that because since I was young I always learned a lot easier through videos or pictures instead just text. What I learned about this is how visual learners usually "jot down notes, looks at the book frequently and making flash cards." When I study, I usually make note cards because it's a quick and easy way of learning and it put your memory to the test. Now I learned to reorganize lecture notes after class and to take notes during the readings instead of after the reading. A little more that I ...show more content... I didn't like it when they showed it to us back then because I believe it was actually effective because it seemed different than what I normally did. But for me personally I find this method very time consuming. Yet, I actually find some benefits for it because it causes you to use your brain a little more trying to connect these ideas together and figure out why it connects with each other. Not only that but I find it an excellent method for organizing my notes and it was a lot easier to find out where everything was easily. And lastly as embarrassing as it sounds, it made studying fun. Usually studying is a bore for me and I usually end up getting tired or distracted then I end up procrastinating and probably never finish studying anyway. However, I actually studied for more than hour consecutively which was unusual for me because I can never find myself staying stuck to my notebook for no more than 45 minutes with getting bored. I would make the maps into webs and the circle in the middle would be the title of the notes. I would make the ideas that are connected or associated with each other have similar shapes to each other instead just circles. Also, to add a little more "creativity" I would also use different color pencils and markers. Afterwards, I was skeptical about if this method can actually help me do better on the quizzes we take every Tuesday and Thursday. When I came in contact with the quiz I could remember what I actually read Get more content on HelpWriting.net

After seeing the result, I now know how I learn best. As stated on results that I have to picture things in my head and look, and write things done to get the understanding of what I am working on. There are many things that I can do to learn better is make sure that I have more time in doing my homework, because being a visual learning I have to picture, write important things to make sure that I can remember them. I already try to color code things especially when I'm at work because I need to be very organize. What I can add to the suggestions is that the more that I write then the more that I will remember, because I know that I have to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Teachers try to adapt the way they teach; to the way their students learn the best. The information that is being taught should be made fun so that the students remember the information. Schools are also using new technology to help students learn. Different learning styles have different effects on people. • 11. Visual Learner Communication Style Analysis I am more of a visual learner. With pictures I can analyze every single detail and with these details my memory does a better job a retaining information. When I learn only with lectures or "hands on work," I tend not to understand the concept that is being taught to me and or remember the concept as best as I could through visuals. While this is my preferred method to learn I have developed ways to cope with other methods of learning such as lecturing and hands on work. During lectures I doodle while I hear the speaker, that keeps me engaged in the lesson. When I am doing "hands on work," I stop every so often to make sure I understand what I am doing. First, I like illustrations that incorporate the use of pictures and diagrams, it helps to stimulate my mind and aids in understand of what is going on. Frequently write things down that I feel is important and want to remember later, as well as see demonstrations of how things are done to understand them better. • 14. Learning Styles : A Learning Style Assessment A learning style is a term used to describe the ways in which people gather, interpret, and store information. Each style can be broken down into a category based on sensory needs: auditory, visual, and tactile. The presumption is that you will best retain the information presented to you if the conditions of your learning style meet. Based on the idea that learning styles exist, I consider myself a visual learner. I prefer to write instructions and keep my thoughts organized. I generate ideas based on reading examples or watching instructional videos. As a child, my preferences were lined primarily with auditory learning. I could easily remember things that spoken to me. As our personalities develop and environment changes, so do our learning styles. A learning style assessment is a good way to gather information about your primary learning style. A series of questions are asked to determine your sensory preferences. Our learning environment can play a role in how well we will retain the information given to us. We may use different learning styles based on the situation. A learning style assessment offers a variety of scenarios to assess the way you learn most of the time. The questions vary from the type of books you enjoy to what you do while you wait in line at a store checkout. According to the assessment, my learning style is 40% Auditory, 35% Visual, and 25% Tactile. • 15. Learning Styles Research Paper The Effects of Learning Styles As Benjamin Franklin once said, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." Throughout the years many have studied how people learn. Knowing this, there are different types of learning. There are three types of learning styles, Visual, Aural and Kinesthetic according to The Twin Cycle Experimental Learning Model: Reconceptulizing Kolb's Theory. (Avery, Gayle and Bergstiener, Herald. 2014). The observations done in the articles have proved the theory of multiplelearning styles is to be true. Learning styles of students is very prominent and obviously an issue when combined with a large class size. Different learning styles have always impacted our lives although it may be more relevant due to test scores and lecture studies. Whereas in the article Teaching Very Large Classes, professors give their own opinions on the struggle of attending to the needs of very large class sizes. People don't use the different learning styles, Visual, Kinesthetic and Auditory, to their advantage. In particular, my first article examined all learning styles and even broke them down further from just Kinesthetic, Auditory and Visual to six different types. This proving the three to be dominant with people they experimented with. In my first article The Twin Cycle Experimental Learning Model: Reconceptulizing Kolb's Theory states, "Furthermore, the model in conjunction with the taxonomy is integrative, it takes account of Gregorc's Get more content on HelpWriting.net

In terms of Mutual Intelligence, I scored 3.57 in Nature, 3.43 in Self, and 3.14 Musical. The MI score nearly reflects who I am except the language and kinesthetic score. It's true that I'm not good at math and logical problems but I do enjoy new languages. I'm bilingual now and I want to be a trilingual. Therefore, I believe that my score in linguistic and kinesthetic should be higher. There are some statements in the Assessment results which I find so true about me. For instance, "Take photographs of what you find on your hike", "You like working on projects on your own", and "You enjoy humming or singing along with music." My Keirsey Score is INFP which means my learning score is NF. I'm not the type of person who logically plans to do everything. I prefer to be led by feelings. It's also true that I'm an introvert when I'm around people who I don't feel comfortable with. Actually, I change into another person when I'm with my family and friends. It's interesting that my boyfriend shares totally different traits in the Keirsey Score; he's an ISTJ. While I focus on creativity and don't follow the plan, he tends to plan everything in advance. • 18. Learning Styles Which Are Visual, Auditory And. M3 Learning Styles There are three main learning styles which are Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic. The three of these are different ways of how you prefer to learn, and how you consume information efficiently. Visual Learning This style uses images, pictures, colours and maps to let the learner see, so they are able to consume the information and communicate with other people. You able to visualize objects and the outcomes in your mind's eye. The learner has a good spatial sense, which enables you to have a good sense of direction. This means that you can easily find your way around maps and hardly get lost. If you're a visual learner then you use other visual media to help to learn. This will allow you to make your visualizations stand out more and make sure that new material among others are able to float inside your head. The main characteristics of a visual learner are that they remember what they see, instead of what they hear. They also prefer diagrams, pictures and to read and write rather than listening. This learner is usually good at spelling, but forgets names, and needs to study in quite. Also, they would tune out when they try to pay attention and they would need an overall new and purpose beginning a project. Auditory Learning This style involves the learner to consume information through listening. They depend on hearing and speaking as they main way of learning. The learner has to be able to hear what is being said, so they can understand the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
