This parting prayer asks for God's mercy, grace and spirit to go with those departing, and for them to share the gift of life through service, love and friendship. It encourages the weary to be strengthened, the fallen to be lifted up, and the lonely to find a friend, until they meet again.

1. A Parting Prayer As we leave from this place, May the mercy and grace of our Lord Be yours to share. May the life that you live Be the gift that you give, So that all may know He cares.

2. As we part now in peace, May the rest and release of God’s Spirit go with you. Then through service and love, With the pow’r from above May you daily be renewed.

3. Go with His blessing, living, confessing The love of the Lord to the end. Strengthen the weary, lift up the fallen, Be to the lonely a friend, Till we meet again, Till we meet again.
