12. Rapid Prototyping Stereolithography (STL) is the creation of a models printed on a three dimensional printer. The model is created by exposing a light sensitive liquid photopolymer to a laser beam. As the photopolymer cures, a new layer is constantly being added. A typical model can be produced in hours rather than being machined from raw stocks of metal.
