• Clarity of speech refers to how precisely speech sounds are
made.
• Some people have slurred speech in which different speech
sounds run together and are not fully sounded.
• This makes it difficult for the listener to pick out the words.
• However, some precise speakers can speak very quickly and
still be very well understood.
